Talked to a former cohort of mine at JBHT when I was a recruiter there.

Turns out there's not much recruiting left at JBHT. It's all in "load sales" aka calling companies and begging them for a load. Dedicated's still there though. Far as he was concerned JB OTR is done.

If Wise wants to get a billboard set up at the Iowa-80 advertising this site, count me in. Pass the hat my way. I'll donate to that cause for sure.

So a recruiter got a little defensive because he lost 4 sheep. At least those 4 drivers initially called him. If I had my way, they wouldn't have called to begin with.

Get the billboard. Get the T-shirts. Get the bumper decals.
This is exactly what they need and deserve. They have lied and done driver's wrong for far to long now. As of the past couple of week day's I have been contacted by both SRT and J.B. Hunt with job offer's. I mentioned some of the stuff I had learned from here and they started getting attitudes but never mentioned this site or where I got the info. Putting them on the spot with question's and comment's, both recruiter's knew I knew that they were BSing me with lie's, asking one question of information and both recruiter's hung up on me.

The truth is getting out. I've been posting info on my bulletin board on Myspace to the sum 80+ truck driver's that I have as friend's on my page as some did not know this site exsisted. DAC has a statement letter with the DAC report regaurding "our right to know" what is on our DAC and other such consumer and credit reports. Well nothing is mentioned that the driver also has the right to know all of the "dirty details" that companies neglect and even lie to new recruit's about. With some time companies "should" start to feel the effect's from this and alike sites as this is however the best one I've been on. Here, here for TheTruckersReport.com!

Tip, if you get some of that stuff up I'll sure make a donation and sport the "word".

Yea the guy I talked with that called me was trying to BS his way into getting me into a lease. After laying down some well known fact's and choice words after he told me "it's a good deal you can't pass up." I asked then why are the vast majority of your lease driver's turning in their truck's if it's so "good" and putting most of your load's on rail's rather than giving them to driver's that are trying to make a living along with the high turnover rate there? He hung up on me.

JB OTR was 'dead' back in 1988 when I worked 5 1/2 weeks and said sayanara!

One of the senior employees for my current employer worked at JBHT for 2 years; his first of two commercial driving jobs - his current position being the second. He said JB was 'top notch'. He's an 'interesting fellow' who openly admits to being 'married' (no children) while cruising adult entertainment establishments looking for 'men'.

More random thoughts and questions from the resident raving lunatic

Maybe If bad trucking companies treated drivers better, their recruiters wouldnt have problems!
Blaming This forum, and the people who contribute to it for their problems is like the rapist who blames his Mommy for crimes!
Typical American behavior! It cant be my fault, I have to blame someone else!

The completely broken American justice system doesn't agree with you. During the recent trial of a career criminal who brutally raped and beat a young tv newscaster to death during a home invasion; the crime was not only classified as 'not a hate crime' but the defendant was spared the death penalty because his prostitute, drugged addicted mother 'mistreated' him as a child.

one time i asked a jb hunt recruiter...hey....so how do i become a recruiter? haha. they told me where on the website to look.

Nice thing about JB is if they ever call me up (besides to be a recruiter for them), i sure have a darn good reason to tell em no...they told me they'd hire me once, i went to orientation and they sacked me on the first day for something i told the recruiter. That's just retarded bean counter operation.

...raped to death? O_o did i read this wrong?

How exactly does being mistreated as a child make you mistreat others? I had a terrible "father" and i am now happy to say he is "dead to me". He was mistreated as a child, and thats why he mistreated me so much. That's bull. I was mistreated as a child and it encouraged me to treat others better than that. WTF?
