DAC is a joke and will except anything the company has to to say as truth with no verification... A dispatcher of a company can have negative things put on your DAC (as I found out with J.B and going threw the rebuttal process)...

I am glad this site is working and I do mention this site often to other drivers... Just maybe one day such information will impact the companies and they will be forced to treat drivers like humans... Hitting them in the $$$$ is the only way they will ever understand.... Either that or they will turn to Washington claiming a driver shortage, we need the Mexicans becuase "Americans don't want to do the job".. Oh wait a sec they already are doing this....

A bad DAC attack could tend to cause a guy to speak in a high(er) voice.

How this is allowed to happen is beyond me.

It's bad enough when a potential employer calls a present employer seeking information to use to determine if the other company wants to hire them, or not. Their work history.

I don't know about all the states, but in California, ALL a present or previous employer can provide that company inquiring is date of hire and date of termination --- but the reason for the termination can only be mentioned if it was on good terms --- can't say nothin' bad -------- even and maybe especially if it's TRUE.
Imagine that.

There are those who think that's a GOOD thing.
Geee, ......... ever wonder why?
Here's what I think,........................

I think they're feeling protected.
And they just might be correct.
You see,..........................

I'm the kinda Big truck truck driver who WANTS any former employer of mine to tell a future employer EXACTLY what kind of an employee I REALLY am.
The truth,................. that's all I ask.
And,........... I'm offended !!!
Yes I am.

At who?
I'm glad you asked.
At those who falsely discredit a DAC Report
and
those who find it necessary to hide behind a law made necessary due to lack of ability, competence, and/or attitude.
SOME folks are just not good employees --- butcha can't tell anyone.
It's a secret.

But WaIT~!!!!!
The seems to be an END RUN possible.
Just carry the black ball through the DAC Report goal posts.
Kick that black ball when it's down and score bonus points.
Then run around/over the law.

DAC Reports not only have the ability to weed out the dead-beats, but it sets the stage for
GetEvenism.
Fable becomes fact on the DAC.
IT seems the information doesn't have to be true,........ only reported.
It's exactly the same as the *can't tell law*
only different.
Now they CAN tell, and apparently they DO tell.
Whatever they've read in a report.
Good
Bad
and/or
Ugly.

If I were in charge of hiring employees, I sure wouldn't have a lot of faith in DAC Reports. My job would be to hire the best candidate for the position. How can I verify the validity of a bad DAC Reoprt?
How can I know if it's even true?

I would think that defamation of character charges could/should be brought if a contested bad report was proven to be false.
Affecting someone's life in such a negative manner SHOULD be illegal ---- if it ain't already.
Ya reckon.

Tip, thank you for correcting the "semi-illiterate rantings" rant. Best laugh I have had today.

Big blue, you are for the most par right in what you say, but my big problem has not been with the driving... I actually don't mind the driving and windshield time. My beef (and OH GAWD I wish we had found this site last December when we were getting sweet talked into the manure pile) is the totality of the lies used to lure us into a contract that they have been coercing us to honor for over a month now. Some recievers do stink worse than the company, and the company I am soon to be a former employee of stinks pretty large in the "lie when their lips move" category. I have found though that oftentimes, (and I am a female) sweet talk and sympathy to the recieving clerk works wonders for the attitude problem.

USA 3rd Party Recruiters

I just used a 3rd party recruiter to land my new job. He has about 20 different companies he works with and was able to qualify me with about 10 of them. I got to pick. Better yet I only filled one app.

I had never used one before. He was a nice guy and didnt BS me for a couple reasons. He seemed to not care which company I went with ( I guess he gets paid the same I am not sure) and this site helped me a lot. It was free by the way.

What do you guys and gals think?

As a former Marine I am not a fan of recruiters in the first place but I didnt feel like looking all over? And I think some of those company recruiters tell me what I want to hear, not what I need to hear.

Yes, this site does seem to be working. One of the posts I watch for like a hawk is the "poser post". A poser post is one that shows up here thanks to a trucking company insider posing as a driver who is supposedly going to/already working for a certain outfit such as JobHunt and SwiftQuit. He'll cast the outfit, an outfit we regulars here KNOW is a POS, in a positive light to make new guys in town doubt what we say. If these new folks doubt our testimony only a little bit, that may be enough to push them to ignore our advice and go with the outfits anyway.

Have I seen any posers here? I think I have a few times, sure. Of late the suspicous posts have popped up more than usual.

People in the know always have to stay on top of it all if a site like this is going to work.

It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

Lot's of the companies out there read this site. oh yes...indeed they do !
don't ever leave or post any info in here that would help them identify you.

Its about time someone (companies) started listening.....I am glad they read this forum, because WE are the ones out there making money for them...they need to know how WE feel and if nothing is said...then nothing will change.....be safe.....

Mine may have come off like a sales pitch but I look at it like this. I got a new job. I have only worked for 3 trucking companies in 7 years. I am not good at looking for these jobs.

I am a simple driver. I love this job. I also dont give out where I drive. I did like the 3rd party recruiter though. It was easy and he didn;t lie to me. What else can I say.
