Forbidden Exclamation Trucker's Report = problems for Recruiters

It seems that The Trucker's Report is causing some problems for companies such as Steven's Transport. I was in Greensboro N.C. today at a T/A truck stop when i started talking with a Steven's recruiter. when i mentioned this site he became real defensive and said he had 7 people back out of job offers a couple of months ago because of this site. It seems these people came here and learned what a sorry company they are and said ..no thanks! there's no doubt we are doing our job here and letting folks know about these bad people. and it is because we all share our knowledge that this is all possible. In honor of the recruiter i spoke to today. I have taken the liberty of resurrecting the Steven's Transport thread.
happy posting!

Thanks, Smurf! Oh yea, I've gotten VERY BAD e-mails from MAJOR companies because we speak the truth here and are putting a "crimp in their style." I set out over four years ago to do this VERY thing! There was NOWHERE on the internet in May 2003 that truckers could come to to report their REAL ISSUES...so I made one. I had no clue about the internet and I learned from scratch and from in my truck how to do this. It's been a LONG 4 years, but I am so proud of you ALL! WORDS can make or break a company, it is simple...they WILL change or go under...we want them to change and treat truckers RIGHT...not go under. When I first started this site, people laughed and said it won't work...WRONG. It does and we KNOW it does. It's been a long hard road doing this...but I SWEAR until my last breath I will fight with my words and all the brainpower I can muster to FORCE TRUCKING COMPANIES TO TREAT DRIVERS RIGHT!!!

Yesterday I hit my first member of trucker's report on the phone line.

Needless to say, once I introduced myself, he calmed down, and we got his number removed from our calling list.

WELL, It also didn't help that we didn't have a Local in his area.

The Pay scales are changing again at the start of next year. Supposedly a lot of states are going to Blue Scale (3 months experience = 40 CPM) among other things. Not to mention the increase in Intermodal. Hell I kinda wish I'd have wrote down his phone number...y'know, just in case.

I believe you & wish I knew a way to consolidate drivers better.
There's been a need for this site/service for as long as I can remember.

Whether it is to warn O/O's about shabby brokers or drivers about shabby companies, this site serves a most valuable purpose; To bring important information to light that neither of the aformenentioned benefactors can do without.

Grow it beyond the 'net.

Where are those bumper stickers I and others keep talking about? Or the T-shirts? I had a line on some decals, but then I got banned from here for a week for some silliness, so I forgot about 'em. But now I'm thinking about 'em again. Hey, we're all in this together. We all have the same mission, ultimately.

If Wise wants to get a billboard set up at the Iowa-80 advertising this site, count me in. Pass the hat my way. I'll donate to that cause for sure.

So a recruiter got a little defensive because he lost 4 sheep. At least those 4 drivers initially called him. If I had my way, they wouldn't have called to begin with.

Get the billboard. Get the T-shirts. Get the bumper decals.

And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

I have 26 rolling billboards that are about 53 foot by ten foot that I might could be convinced to accept advertising on. I'll have to think about that one....Hmmm
