More on USA Truck is a Bad Company to Drive for

Continuing on about how USA Truck is a Bad Company to drive for.USA Truck is supposed to be responsible for any ticket that a driver receives if the ticket was issued due to equipment failure. Keep in mind the ticket is on your CDL and you are responsible for making sure the ticket is paid before the court date.I received such a ticket during a DOT Inspection due to equipment failure and USA Truck never paid the ticket. More money lost out of my pocket. USA Truck has lost their privilege to have pre-pass for the truck scales. What does this tell you? USA Trucks are going to be checked for log book and equipement violations more and more.

USA Truck a Good Company to Drive for NOT!

More on USA Truck is a Bad Company to Drive for. You know as well as I do there are just some people that don't just don't care about their job or are just plain incompetent. This applies to some of, not saying all of them by any means, USA Trucks Fleet Managers, to me it is just a fancy name for Dispatchers. My daytime dispatcher didn't know whether he was coming or going half the time. Now I will have to say I do understand he has a very busy job dealing with alot of drivers and I would not want his job at all! But in saying this, it is still his job and a job that is important and his ablility to do his job well has a great bearing on my income and my family life. What to say about their night dispatchers?, well lets just say you might as well just go to bed and forget about what ever problem you have and hope your regular daytime dispatcher can help you. You may get a different night dispatcher everytime you quallcom in with your problem and have each dispatcher tell you something different and you have no clue who's direction to follow! Been there done that!

You still owe USA Truck the entire amount. Example, you have $300.00 in escrow and you quit, you still owe USA Truck $300.00. Been there done that. USA Truck is a Student Driver Mill. I have more to follow on my experience with USA Truck.
that is in BIG OLD BOLD PRINT there. 25 a week until you rwach 500 (may be 600 now???)
45 per week to pay for school.
spent 18 months there. best thing about them was my FM and miles. trucks sucked, breakdown REALLY SUCKED.
an night "dispatch" GRRRRRR!!! LOL
when i left i got my escrow back in full.

Bug You don't see that info on USA Truc website and recruiter failed to mention it either

You are absolutely correct about the escrow money being in bold print, that is when you show up for the first day of orientation. No one ever told me this money was going to be deducted before the first day. you will not see this anywhere on USA truck website about deducting money from your check into and escrow account. The recruiter from USA Truck even made it a point to avoid answering questions about layover pay and other things. Recruiter was more interested in when can you be here.

Bug Trucks at USA Truck

Looking at USA Truck's website you see the International Pro Star and the Kenworth T660 as their main trucks. Here is the reality on their fleet. There are only a handful of the Kenworths in their fleet and true they are retiring their older trucks from the Pro Star. The reality is the biggest part of their fleet at this time is the 9400 series international that are beat up, fenders that are pop riveted together, bumpers that are bent, bent steps, crappy drive tires, windshields cracked and so on.You will see the silver duct tape on fenders and so on. If you ever notice USA Trucks are absolutely filthy, they do not pay for a truck wash ,oh yeah they do have a hose at the Van Buren terminal if you wanna spend your time washing their equipment. I washed my own truck one time. I was sitting at a shipper and the driver next to me kept looking at my truck. I rolled down my window and the driver said wow I have never seen a USA Truck look so clean, to tell you the truth I thought their trucks were brown! I told him the only reason it looks this good is because I washed it myself.

This could explain the reason for the trucks you describe.

hey dbltime! how are things?

XUSA, i cant argue with ya on the equip.!
i went trough "driver solutions" when i went to school then USA. ad it DID sayabout the deductions THERE.
i HAVE noticed too that most of the trucks i see on the road now are prostars seems they have stepped up the conversion?
i spent 15 bucks on a fiberglass repair kit for my busted fender (schneider egg in middle of rd) to avoid thge UGLY ### pop-rivet fix LOL
washed my truck at home, and on the road with windex and rags, kept my tanks polished by hand
the inside was a MESS LOL but you would never know by looking at the exterior!
