The last J.B. Hunt Recruiter you knew....

....IS GONE AS OF 01/03/2008!!!!

UNION PACIFIC-VAN BUREN ARKANSAS!!!! :yes2 557:

USA Truck Drivers-Beware! when you see this train comin down the line, I can't stop on a dime!

So they've accepted me. and i'm going off for 2 months of paid training, then they'll ship my ### back to VB, where I get on the "road" as it were.

1. My horn is bigger than your horn.
2. My Rig is bigger than your rig.
3. I can't stop, LOOK OUT!

Somehow i know in the back of my head that the first semi I hit will be a J.B. Hunt semi....

now after all that, I think I might stick around on the boards for a while, since none of you exactly bit my head off as I didn't spam a damn thing. and I MADE IT!!!

I'm typing up my Notice right now. Just got back in the door from the yard in Van Buren, Grocery Shopping, and getting a late night dinner (Got one of those big Wal-Mart Pizzas and threw it in the oven)

Thanks much Leannamarie!

You will come back here, right?

You will be coming back here from time to time after you get on the locomotive, right?

Congrats and best of luck.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

Congrats on the new job, and thank you for the info you have posted on here. Please feel free to stay an active member and stay involved. I posted it last night, my employer just bought another locomotive for switching in one of our railyards.

Now, get a subscription to "Trains" magazine and bury yourself in the trivia that makes up railroading. It's a lot of fun. I get my copy each month....

You're looking at a guy who was already a railfan and has been getting both "Trains" and "Model Railroader" for 15 YEARS.

I'm awake this early because we've got a convention in Fayetteville. a Sci-Fi Convention! *Insert geek face here*

Thanks to all of you for the support you've shown!

Congrats Dude, on both starting the new career, and leaving old JB! And hopefully you won't ever have to hit a T/T; but if you do, JB should do fine.

Good luck and visit once in a while, to let everyone know how things are going.
