Recruiters=Liars

Sounds to me like they guarantee you will make the 700 wk. You can make more than that.

I worked for a company doing a relay into Chicago that guaranteed 750 wk. I made more than the daily average some days, less some days. It was nice to have that buffer. Most weeks, the miles made up for more.

 

I don't know anything about this company, so I don't know if they are lying or not. I read their add differently than you are.

To me it seems to say that you will get at the very least $700.00 per week and in most cases you will get more than that.

 

You have to take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt.

Case in point. Large Major company makes claims of their drivers averaging $52K a year.

While they will tell you they try to insure that their drivers maintain at least 9600 miles per MONTH with TOP pay being .42 per mile.

I don't have to do the math for you, I'm sure.

Look for their ad in most trucking mags.

 

all i can say is anyone tied to FFE... you will get it it sideawys, point blank and in your rear... stay away!

 

When companies say there drivers avg 52,000 a year there putting all there drivers in a pool including owner ops and lease drivers . Example if a owner makes 140,000 and a company drivers makes 35,000 then they can honestly say there drivers avg 87,500.00 gross a week. Get it

 

K&B is another company that advertises about a guaranteed pay. I believe its 925 or 950 a week. To me that is a red flag. Kinda hard to believe they will guarantee you a paycheck for just sitting around waiting for work. just me saying......

 

The company might also give load and unload pay, as well as safety and attendance incentives. Not backing the recruiters here, but mileage rate isn't the only way companies pay their drivers.

And you're right. Just like the military; never take a recruiters word as golden. Talk to some veterans and base your decision from what they say.

 

actually that ad is true, they haul alot of pipe from birmingham,al to the northeast or florida. you will start in b-ham get to the northeast by monday sometime, depending when you leave, after off loading you'll probably pick up a load of sheet rock, lumber, a crom load (sewer company from gainesville known as crom equipment rentals, [cer]) or a load from the one of the ports. you'll probably unload in ga, virginia, north carolina, mississippi, louisiana, texas or ohio, and get a load back or near birmingham. then you'll pick up a load from u.s. pipe, nucor steel, or gerdua steel and go home, and restart monday. also they bought a dry van outfit so now they do that with 2 terminals and they have let model equipment
