Im am reporting this post via reliable and believable 2nd hand info.
FFE : (1) free base plates, not true.. u will get chrg. your first yr. (2) You will pay reefer fuel.(3) Tolls are not pd.(4) If your trk needs maint, they will unauthorized other repairs, without ever contacting you first.(5)You can not use your maint acct unless its over $200 or $250.. This seems to change. Day by day.(6)Lumper fees only reimburst on trk ld if your pulling ltl, you pay it. If your at there dock and they ld your trl LTL, they chrg u 4 it.(7) Each week u may be holding lumper fees which can total $600 deduction from settlement. May take 3 weeks to get pd back. Either way your settlement will always be in the rears, paying to get there freight unload.( fuel surcharge rate, is slow may take a month.
(9) After u go broke and turn there trk in, there mechcanics will send a bill to you, that trick my trk wouldnt! (10) Then a false DAC report, of unathorized trk abodoment, they tell you send a rebuttal letter to DAC and they wont reply. That u got to laugh at, think they need to take care of that!

So i hope by posting this, it helps someone stay clear of them, my friend has 15 yrs OTR. was and owner O/O ran into a very bad yr. He lost alot.. But thanks to FFE he lost more!

And Training Would Be Better With Swift.

I was wondering why you would say that about FFE's training. Are you talking about the school that they send you to in Pine Bluff, or are you talking about the trainers that they have in Lancaster? I found the school to be ok, but the 2 lesbians that work there seem to be crazy! Did you go to school there?

i don't know about ffe as a company.i paid my own way through the school in pine bluff,i found it to be top notch.after completing school 2 years ago i went straight otr without ever having a trainer and i was prepared.would recommend school

One person had bad luck or couldnt handle the reality of trucking, so dont be turned off by one post. Ask there drivers in person at truck stops and get the real scoop, good luck.

I apologize for bringing up an old thread but found this while looking for opinions on trucking companies as I have been thinking about going back over the road and felt the need to chime in.

I worked for FFE when right out of driving school and didnt make it out of training. They run trainees like they run teams. 24/7 driving, all hot loads and the only time the truck was turned off was for fuel. In other words, they run you into the ground....for $300 a week! I learned nothing about the Qualcomm, paperwork and after 2 months of training I didnt even know how to pay for fuel with their cards! I had 5 trainers in the 2 months I was there and even when I asked them directly to show me these things, they either said they would later or half assed a lesson. Then the top off was that when I thought my training was over I was told I would have to stay out for another week because I had insisted on going home the previous month for 2 days for Christmas (the only 2 days I was home the entire 2 months) after being out 4 weeks straight. I was so burned out after spending the last 2 months of "drive 5/sleep 5" that the thought of another week was too much to handle so I quit.

Granted this was 2003 so things may have changed but their training program and the fairly worthless people they had working there was pretty pathetic and worth a note of caution.

Luck VS Honesty r 2 different things. Luck is playing a slot machine. honesty is believeing a man for his word or contract, and yes ask there drivers is the best.. You will know the truth.

i went to ffe inc training school in pine bluff ar and there teacher are a bunch of crack heads and wanta be truckers the inmates do not now what they are talking about and the 50 aweek they give u to live off for 3 weekes its nice but u cant pay bills. and after sitting in lancaser tx for 4 weeks and still no trainer and no word on when i would be geting one i gave up and went with werner so yeah i wouldnt go with ffe just coz they are all liers and all they want is ur money oh and i forgot the training trucks where junk i have seen better trucks at a junk yard this is just half of what happen to me so yea take for what its worth oh hi every one i am new i am jeremy

i cant think of there names but they where the ones that where in jail and came to the school everyday. i think the school was ran very poorly and the 2 les that live on site dont get me sarted on them lol


oh if i was to rate the school i would say swift would be way better and i would give it a 2 maybe a 3 out of 10

udate i waited three weeks for a trainer and still didnt get one and then i had a death in the fam
and when i call them after 15 day they said i woud have to start over again i wouldnt go with them
