Jb Hunt Percentage Plan

guys, i was told when the JB Hunt recruiters called me was i would avg. $1.50 for all miles and take home $2800.00 after everything is paid for. I was also told that i could choose my loads and turn down ones i didn't want. guys that was all lies that i was told. the truth is as follows.

1. i avg. $1.05 on all miles.... I would get one good load a week and 4 bad ones the rest of the week. They would give me a load out of Indiana that went to the east coast, PA or NJ area. that load paided $1.65 a mile. The next load wouldnt pay anything to come back to the midwest. I would decline the load because it was cheap and mean i say cheap i mean it paid me anywhere from 75 cents to 90 cents per mile, and that load would go up or down 95. on the percentage you pay for your own tolls, fuel tax, Insurance, Quail Comm, And base plates.

I would gross $2200-2500... That is before paying anything out !!! my costs were $510 truck payment a week, $1100 in fuel. and $250 dollar in Insurance, escrow and other costs to JB Hunt per week. plus anywhere to $150-$200 dollars in Tolls. i was lucky to eat ...

If you decline a couple loads they will put you to the bottom of the list to get a load. MY ADVICE.... get dont go to JB hunt You will go broke and pull their freight for free. They will also tell you that you are lucky to get what you did... I told them off and left... i hope this message helps someone because i didnt have this message when i went there. I asked as many as i could before i went to JB Hunt, No one told me this i had to learn for myself the hard way..... good luck to you guys

They brag about the amount of freight they get. Then tell you that you are lucky to get what you was offered?

LMMFAO....not in this lifetime.

Many drivers find out after they sign on the dotted line that the freedom to pick and choose a load as a operator, only goes as far as the company will let it.

Never rent company equipment and let a company decide how you will run your business. People who sign on their own equipment have a better chance of being a successful O/O.
