some reasons

The main reason I'd guess is age. TMC as well as most primarily flatbed companies require drivers to be 23, or 25 in some cases. If not that it could have to do with driving record , criminal history, or a variety of things. have you checked out the TMC website? I'm sure it would help

i asked the recruiter b4 i applied if i could be 22 and turn 23 during training. i turn 23 this saturday. he said as long as i was 23 by the time i finished training it was cool.

Oklahoma mountainside

So he said it was "cool". Did this recruiter try to sell you any mountainside property near Oklahoma City?

I hate to break it to a green driver who thinks the world is full of honest people, but......Recruiters lie. Check with the inside gatekeepers, especially the safety guys.

And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

TMC is infamous for leading newbies to believe that they are elligible for hire even though they know they will never hire them. I personnally had and issue with TMC I applied to them through the school I went to the recruiter said that all was good and in check then it came time for my prehire.... yeah after about a month of running around I finally got someone to admit that they wouldn't hire me because I was female( although this isn't so in your case.) A few of my classmates applied and received the same notice you received, 1) is definitely your age the recruiter lied... they will not take anyone who is not 23yrs old as of the day of orientation this is an insurance stipulation, 2) anymore than 1 accident or motor vehicle incident is a disqualification until it clears no matter what they say , 3) this one is a real doozy.. another classmate of mine got a prehire and upon graduating called TMC to act on his prehire the told him that he was no longer eligible because he had a bad credit history... believe it or not. I could keep going on but it only gets worse. The only sure bet into TMC is if you were in the military regardless of what grounds you were discharged on. This I also know for a fact.If you want flatbed or the potential to drive flatbedI would try Maverick there is a waiting list but it isnt that long. Best of luck to you.

where do you live bean hauler?
That may have something to do with it.

I just had Maverick tell me that they woudn't hire me because of a "bad reference" They wouldn't tell me what that meant or where it came from.
I paid for my own schooling,
Worked at the same place previously for 7 years as a general manager
No criminal record
spotless driving record.
I score over 700 with my credit too.

They've run me around and said I was hirable since November.
The recruiter I had, wouldn't return calls and I had to "catch her just to get her to do anything with me.
I personally think that she never did anything with my application or information.
