Does your husband pull a dry van or flat/step-deck ? Generous FSC ? Most of the agents tell us that GW won't allow them to give the National average. Pehaps the van agents are different than the flat/step-deck div. agents. These agents have mostly brokered freight, and call other trucking companies "their good customers". We haven't noticed that GW appreciates their o/o that do a good job for them, being safe, perfect on time pick-up and delivery record, haul oversize in a safe timely manor, make GW alot of money by staying out and running for months at a time. It does seem like they are alot more interested in the van div.
greatwide ripoff!

Thats funny you say that about me why because your drivers called me at 11 pm on a Friday night and i was having a few beers? hmm i remember you had me fire one of your guys and had to repo. it for you. We lie on loads how can we do that when you can at ANY time look at the load tenders? sounds to me like it is a mis- managed fleet owner in Chicago not GW. GW is a Great place and yes their are some agents who don't do there homework. I Drove for 15 years prior to this and as you noticed i used my really name and am proud of my Owner Operators in Daytona and now an Office In Chicago. i seem to think if GW or myself were that bad i wouldn't see be an agent. Please Greg or anyone else don't hesitate to call me if you want to make money!!! -
no i am not the same agent but you are more then welcome to call me for any questions on my agency

One post back in February I highly doubt he'll be back.
How many is a few? -
Russ, Just what kind of freight do you have , dry van-reefer-flatbed ? Do you post your good paying freight on the load boards ? I've never saw any, and I'm always looking. Some agents with GW do flat out lie, they'll tell you they have multiple loads in Utah to get you to take a load, knowing they don't have any and can't get any. Fuel prices going up/ GW rates going down.

Im looking to lease to them through a agent that hauls, delivers and relocate trailers of all kinds.
Does anyone know about this type of work? Any info will be helpfull.
There is no Qualcomm, they pay 75% and 100% fuel surcharge.
The agent says around $2+ per mile average. 10-12 days out, work the region you want and your choice on home time. -
I'm leased on with Greatwide on the Dallas Mavis divison . I'm not sure about hauling different type of trls or etc. I pull a flatbed and find my own loads. One thing you should ask is if that's $2 per mile gross or after their 25 percent. I make darn good money here and they have great fuel discount. With home time I go home when ever I please, there's weeks I'm home every other day, and weeks like now where I'm out 2 weeks but that's by choice. With Dallas Mavis you find your own load off of Greatwide or other load boards but agents call you offering loads.
Loke, lildudef150 and Cheezburger Thank this. -
Thanks for the quick reply, I'm going to lease on to my mechanics friend. He hauls locally and sometimes does Saturday work.
If anything changes I will give them a call again.4mer trucker and Loke Thank this. -
