Angry Armellini Express Lines

well lets first start out saying this COMPANY IS FULL OF S**T!!!!! they told my hubby , oh predictiable pay, predictable home time, and the recruiter tells my hub, oh and theres always runs so you ll never be home more than 2 nights,,,,LMFAO,,,,the 1st 2 months, perfect right, keep in mind you have to call everynight at 7 pm to even see if your goin out, cuz the senior driver s all have bids on the good runs, so being the newcomer u get stuck with the #### runs that no one else wants to do, like the mid west,, white out conditions,,,, ok well he calls been home 2 days, they say oh nothing tonight guy call tomorrow , ok he says, well then he calls everynight, 2 nights turned into 10 days, no runs no money, we have 2 kids to take care of, so if u piss off Dispatch your screwed you wont get a run till they wanna put you back on the list,,,, beware they only pay 18 cents a mile with a small perdm. and allow u 40 dollars for food, but take it back out when ur paycheck comes, Heres a doozy, well the whole month of dec. my hub went on 5 ,2 day runs, thats it, he complains about not going out money is tight the kids didnt have a christmas right, well jan comes, they send him out, hes in new york, goes under bridge, mind you no signs, no trucks not allowed signs, no height resc. and hes under it for a good 1/2 mile, bridge is falling apart on the other side , beam hanging down , he bumps it peels the top of the trai. about 8 inches, he reports it, THE DISPATCH MAN TELLS HIM TO BACK OUT AND DONT WORRY BOUT IT NOW, JUST FINISH THE DELIVERY TO THE NEXT STOP WHICH IS ABOUT 4 BLOCKS AWAY, HE DOES WHAT HE WAS TOLD, AND GOES TO HAVE THE TRAI. SWITCHED OUT RIGHT , NO BIGGY, NO REPORT, NO POLICE, NO DAMAGE TO THE BEAM, BUT AN 8 INCH GASH on truck,, HE GETS BACK TO DEPOT, AND THATS THAT, HE REPORTED IT TO THEM , AND HE GETS A CALL THAT MONDAY IT HAPPENED ON A THURSDAY, SAFETY SHE-RAH CALLS AND SAYS THE CUSTOMERS SAID THE FLOWERS WERE DAMAGED,AND WITH THE TRUCK BEING GASHED WE HAVE TO LET YOU GO, IT WAS A PREVENTABLE ACCIDENT, SO NOW HES WITHOUT A JOB AND NO ONE WILL TOUCH HIM CUZ OF THIS PREVENTABLE ACCIDENT. SO TRUCKERS TELL ME what u think ???? should the DISPATCHER take some heat too, or just him??? is this means for being fired or am i just pissed off?

Well, I could be wrong, but I gather that your hubby was only there 3 months? That's not much time to be employed somewhere and hit a bridge.

Regardless of anyone's opinion on whether or not he got a raw deal, the decision to terminate him may have been out of the company's hands. Their insurance carrier usually makes those decisions.

I don't blame you for being upset but unfortunately, that's the way the world works.

Chicago can be the same way. Lots of unmarked, and MISmarked bridges.
