deboer weight limits

If your BMI (body mass index) is more than 40% you will not work there. funny cause I was the smallest guy there and the guy bigger than me was off by two first day of orientation. Took the bus out here to Texarakana and have to find my way home wow.

Sorry to hear that, it would've REALLY pissed me off to go out there to find that out! They should have told you that ahead of time! BS!

Talking

That's the first I've heard company with a weight limit (BMI) on its drivers. Are they that hard up over fuel cost?

Besides that, doesn't everybody use their belly to steer while shifting, eating a sandwich, talking on the cell, watching the road, and checking their maps at the same time?

Who says truck drivers can't multi-task?

There's an old German proverb that says

"An man without a gut is like a woman without T***"

Well from what Ive read a lot of the big, n some smaller, companies have much more intense physicals now. 40% bmi is pretty high though. I think around half that is considered clinically healthy. Not that it means you cant drive a truck. I see guys who are too fat to touch their knees out driving and guys so skinny im surprised they can shut a trailer. Just keep looking. the good job will find you.

They should have told you about this long before you ever left home. Failing that they should have given you a plane ticket home with something for your time.

If they offer benefits it could have something to do with their insurance carrier.

Hell, I haven't even seen my toes in several years, let alone touching them!

I would be betting that it is an insurance thing. Possibly even from a liability standpoint of an out of shape driver stroking out or having a heart attack behind the wheel and taking out a family.

And like others here have said, it sucks that they would not tell you this when you were doing your inquiry, before you invested your time.
