All I can tell you is that it was a nightmare when my wife and I was there. I am talking a bad nightmare. Joe Palmentere had a foul mouth, and the problems I listed where serious, and solutions that were suppose to come from dispatch were non-existent. When we had enough we gave notice to quit. We picked up a load going to the yard, bumped the dock, locked the truck and trailer, turned in our stuff, and caught a bus out of there. The DAC report was stacked with lies from stating we abandoned the truck under a load to not reporting an accident---and a screw up with pay to boot. It took 4 years of continual fights and hiring a lawyer to get them to state that they found out the problem was they mistakenly used the wrong truck number. Joe was mad (like a dog not angry) that we didn't want to work for super low wages and someone just printed a lot of false stuff on our DAC.
We were a team truck and didn't specify anywhere we didn't want to run. After 4 weeks of 400 to 800 mile weeks and layovers on both ends we demanded more miles. I could have ran 4 times a much solo. It just didn't work for us and that should have been that. We didn't just quit but gave notice and they still poisoned our DAC.
I advised one man here that I wouldn't hire on but he did and reports his own horror story. Some person, that I can't even understand most of what he is stating, can post that the rest of the story should be posted because "he" does not see it that way, and of course all of us are wrong, but the fact is the company sucked then and probably now.
If gangster talking New Joisey Joe is still the owner I would not give them the time of day. I also vowed not to let them do this to others without posting it for all to see. If nobody else will hire you I guess you have nothing to lose but a few dollars so I guess you can go for it. Just remember what you have read and watch you DAC when you quit.
P.S.--If you are the typical type A personality truck driver you might have a problem with his condescending tones and words like you are one step lower than a pile of cow dung. I am just saying-----if I was saying. Beware of recruiters acting as drivers. They are not going to go out of business. They spend (spent) a lot of time figuring out how to get the driver to personally pay for new trucks.
    Good luck --otr500

I agree Palmentere Bros is the Worst trucking company you will ever come in contact with, i drove for them for 4 years the only good thing about them is they have beautiful looking trucks. Joe has no patience with his drivers, when you do something wrong you are the worst driver there ever is. he actually degrades you. Denise, Berri and all the girls in the office act like thye are so much better then you. If you drive for them or are thinking about driving for them RETHINK it, you'll be sorry. YOu have to fight to get your hometime, when it's actually time for you to go home, they always make sure the send you to the other part of the country, Joe Palmentere thinks that you need to be in HIS truck 24/7 365 days a year. The whole company SUCKS. IF you do go to work there it will be the bigest mistake in you're life you will EVER make.

When i said that Joe expects you to be in hi s truck 24/7 365 i was talking about hometime. When you break down or in the yard for a few days he will get you a motel room.I ti s your choice if you take it or not, and to the guy that says that he spent 5 days in KC without a shower, that was his choicem there is truck stops around (FLYING J) where he could have went and tookma shower.

    doubledragon5 Thanks this.

I use to drive for a company that is A LOT WORSE. Florilli transportation is the worst there is. just do a search and type in Florilli here on this site and i have 2 posts in 2 different threads about what they did to me.
