Holy Crap, I've been chomping at the bit to discuss this company!!!!!

If you're an expediter, or used to be, perhaps you have seen All-State Express...Likely not seen, but read their ads on expediting websites. I say you probably haven't seen them because they sit ALOT!!!

To not go into too much detail, let me just say that the people at that company, starting from Tim all the way down to Lisa, were idiots. The only one who was decent was the night dispatcher named Fount. Fount was cool!

They advertise "Satellite tracked trucks." Yeah, right. What they mean is, you call every few hours and tell them where you are.

Miles? HA! I've seen guys who've idled through entire tanks of fuel. I've done it myself. Areas where freight was supposed to be good, we sat. We ran as a team (my wife and I) and couldn't make money. The runs we got, as few as they were, were 500 miles or less. The biggest one was 1000 into Saskatoon, where you have no chance of getting out. We would've refused it, but they don't allow you to turn anything down. Meaning whatever crap they throw at you, and no matter how huge the deadhead was (which was often right up there with the actual trip miles), you HAD to take it.

We sat alot. The dispatchers were unprofessional and had their favorites. They seemed to favor a guy who would literally run 24/7 for them. The more you're willing to cheat, the better off you are I suppose. We never even got the chance to cheat! At what we were getting, we would've welcomed the opportunity to cheat.

If you have anyone trying to tell you how great this company is, RUN AWAY!!! They are full of liars and cheats!

We ran for Panther as well and Panther treated us great and gave us alot of miles. We made great money with Panther. If you're gonna do expedite, run for Panther.

They now have the new omnivision Qualcomm. They used to have Nextell. You must have worked for them at least 5 years ago or more if you had to call in your locations. Even then you would not have to call in more than once unless you moved.

B.S. You can turn down anything. There is no forced dispatch. You can also bargain with them to throw in some extra fuel money to compensate for long dead heads.

Thats expedite. hurry up and wait. If Panther kept you moving non stop with full rate expedited loads then they truly are remarkable and not typical in expedited trucking.

i worked for them for 3 months lol. they ran the wheels off that pos death trap i drove. green sterling man more sht fell off that truck than was put on it ever. i wont even get in to the details lol. i ran good made good mobey but rick and tammy were new owners and didnt know squat about owning a truck much less having a driver. and my SO CALLED manager mark was a tool. money wise man i ran crazy. i worked for them in 2005 they had the nextel. polly still worked there at the time. lisa just started. i would work there again if i hadnt abandened their truck lol. no it aint on my dac and the money they owed me more than paid for the bill and fees that abandoning a truck brought on. they are good people BUT............... if i could have afforded to keep driving for them i wouldnt have dumped the truck like i did but when i say death trap i mean it son lol. i hit the breaks in pa one time going a lil faster than i should have been like 78 or so and the brake petal hit the floor and stuck. i slid to a stop in rush hour traffic and almost made the news. lil did i know that the truck had sat for years in a field before they bought it and over hauled it. the guy that did the dot annual on it didnt even look at a thing. got the vin and all the info and gave me the report. i enjoyed working for them as a company even with the owners i had but that silly fool mark ruined it all for me. any way i didnt mean to rant lol peace. :biggrin_2554::biggrin_2555: and i could go on for ever about takin trips off my logs to make deliverys, dodging scales, taking plackards off a trailer just to make it easier to get from la. to ca. that was an expensive learning experience. but i willingly ran like that they didnt make me i was a fool any way good luck.

That was a haughty reply to a driver merely ADMITTING what most drivers have done/will do in order to get the job done that he set out to do.
Another goody two shoes driver that has never driven junk nor done a single thing unlawfull while employed as a truck driver.
Stay in it long enough or want to get somewhere bad enough or whatever and you too will be able to label yourself "another real pro" and a "dimwit" at the same time.
I bet that you would not post about it though.

Yes that I have done in the past. I may shave some time or miles here and there now days but none of that. It was fun at the time and I made good money but it would have ended badly eventually. And yes unless your a fresh noobe straight out of swift driving academy you have falsed a loge in some way shape or form. If you have parked in a rest area in va over night or on a rest area ramp shoulder then YES you too are an out law trucker lol.

Yes sir, that was/is my point.WE ALL have or will do something along the way that is unlawful and/or illegal, whether intentional or not.For alladin sane to crack on you like that just made me ponder the complexity of merely getting on down the road under ideal circumstances, not mentioning those that are far from ideal. My experiences tend to have been in between ideal and not, leaning toward the not ideal.
Basically,I have always, well after about my 4th or 5th year, just accepted the not ideal as an everyday part of getting on down the road and the days that things went smoothly,I felt as if I had missed out on another interesting day behind the wheel.
The not knowing from day to day actually has kept me thoroughly enjoying driving. That must make me abnormal,a non pro,and a dimwit to boot!
I resemble that I reckon while being a professional and not realizing it-

They still run loose leafs but they actually audit the logs now since they got audited by DOT and lost pre-pass. lol. Still can get away with a lot more than at most carriers. Most owners have ungoverned trucks that will run wide open.

They don't have freight anymore since auto industry and economy has dried up and you can't make good money there anymore. Expedite is dead. Don't no if it will come back or not but right now expedited trucking is slowly going belly up.

Actually, I was told you can't turn down anything. At the time we ran for them, we couldn't turn down loads. In fact, many expediters I talked to refused to go with All-State because you had to take their loads. Maybe things have changed since we ran for them. I am simply telling people my experience there; All-State sucked.

Panther didn't keep us moving ALL the time, but kept us moving A LOT. We never had an issue with Panther is generating revenue. If we did a small run for them, we were generally always rewarded with a monster. The difference between Panther and All-State, to my wife and I anyway, was night and day. Panther made us a lot of money. All-State left us broke more often than not.
