Also <removed insult> you missed a thread to post a defense on. Go to Hoosier Tradewinds in Arcadia IN and post away my friend. Hope you get 100 recruits and all 100 find out who you guys really are and then 100 more start posting on here how badly you guys suck. Just running your company the way you should would go farther than you posting on here. Your website says you guys run your operation with integrity and that my friend could NOT be farther from the truth. So go ahead and make your 6th post since you just became a member today and all your posts are on Tradewinds topics. That sounds a bit odd doesn't it everybody????? But look at his info for yourself if you think I am lying. Click his name and every post is a Tradewinds topic. Well gotta go now Matt, talk to ya later. Oh yeah just out of curiosity Matt er I mean Big Chuck, who was your recruiter 2 years ago when you supposedly started and why isn't he there anymore. It's OK I know the reason even if you don't want to post it.:yes2557:

1.05 a mile plus surcharge on all miles right now. Sounds pretty good doesn't it?? There's a reason for that if you're wondering. Just search Hoosier Tradewinds and read. Odd how a small company that nobody knows of can be all over this site. And their equipment is crap. They are supposedly trying to buy newer tractors now somehow and sell new drivers their old ones. That was a D2 message sent out last Wednesday to the drivers that don't currently own trucks. Saw the message for myself from another driver that showed it to me. Don't know how they can afford to buy new trucks when they can't even pay their drivers. :biggrin_25512:

Thank goodness for this forum, which I was referred to by various internt searches I was doing on a few companies I was looking at. The one I was to go to orientation this Monday was Tradewinds!!! I put them off one more week so I can get more info. The recruiter there did not seem too forth coming with the questions I posed Yesterday, after reading the dozens of posts here and on Ripoff report. I think Tradewinds holds the record for negative posts. No wonder they approved me 4 hours after I submitted my online application. I thought that was crazy fast. they must be hurting for drivers, and/or awaiting an exodus. She also was pushy about the L/P deal. I know each driver has their own experiences at various companies, but after reading all this, I'm out! I guess they'll find out when I don't show up, as I was driving myself out there.
I also have my lugitimate horror stories about Knight and Marten.
I guess I'll try elsewhere for a fairly decent trucking company. my wife would've killed me if I had problems getting paid! In this economy? screw that! Thanks guys!!!!!:biggrin_25514:

BPR I am glad I could help someone. I don't want to see anybody have to go thru the hell I have in the last 2 months while I was tracking down a good company to lease with. Things haven't changed much as far as turnover the whole time I have been there. When I went thru orientation there was 10 other people in there and they had them coming in in droves. They are really pushing the LP because like I said here or another post they are TRYING to buy newer equipment, so they are trying to push their old junk off on the new drivers, and it is just that junk. The only decent trucks I have seen them buy are 6 yellow Pete 389's (i think thats the areodynamic one). Everything else is old freightliners that have been used and abused. There's a reason they felt they had to bump up their pay and it wasn't out of the kindness of their heart or their so called Christian principles. The company does not care who it screws to get to where they need to be as long as they have a constant flow of drivers coming thru the door. I wish you the best of luck wherever you end up BPR. Hope others will heed the warning and see that I am not on here blowing smoke up anyone's skirt about this company like others that I will not mention. :biggrin_25512:

This company is in bankrupcy!! They owe me money for the work i have done. this company hires the driver on the pretense that they are company drivers then after there for a couple weeks they con you into doing a lease to own deal. if you dont want to do the deal then you must leave the company. A buddy and I took this deal thinking we could do it bassed on the miles we were running. then we found out that we would not get the miles to be able to make payments and still be able to have a paycheck. I received a check from them for about 80.00 towards what they owe me per the bankrupcy agreement. IT BOUNCED!! I cant even get the lawyers to call me now. would not recommend this company!!

The latest post on the Rip Off Report.
If there are fake users posting from the company on this forum, they should get over to the rip off report and submit their side of the story to protect themselves from slander...unless it is all true!

I am an owner operator that recently just left Tradewinds in January of 2011. I had to leave due to my wife becoming sick. It had nothing to do with the company. They are great. I started with them 3 years ago as a Lease Purchase driver. The company did hit some rough times just like every trucking company did. They did file Chapter 11 reorganization but they exited over 2 years ago and have paid all creditors 100% with interest. They are outstanding people to work for. I wish I could still be there. I have never had a check bounce as you say. I do know that if you mess with them they don't mess around. If you abandone equipment, steal fuel, etc. they will put stop payments on checks but never do it if it was not justified.
I just wanted to write because I am tired of low IQ hotheads who just are blabbing at the mouth always blaming others for their failures. They are a very fair company with a very generous pay package. I could not afford to stay home and take care of my wife if I had not worked for this company the past 3 years.

Just wanted to say that they are on here watching and trying to defend themselves. We went a few rounds the other day when I finally terminated my contract with them and they brought up some of what I said on here. So consider that fair warning for anybody who gets on here and still works for them. They didn't say who but I have a pretty good idea it's one of two people, not that I didn't already say that about 15 times. I am now with another company and am washing my hands of these guys. I wish them all the best in their financial woes and hope they get it all straightened out for the sake of their drivers. I have better things to worry about now. If anybody has any direct questions about them feel free to ask, but aside from that I have said all I have to say about all of my experiences with this company. Unlike the company liars who are coming on trying to sugar coat everything, I will be honest. Good luck to all.:biggrin_25525:

I heard that there was one person out there trashing Tradewinds. When I heard that I had to get on a voice my small opinion. THis company has done a great job of communicating to us and paying us for the work we do. I couln't help but notice that most of these messages are coming from one guy who probably pulled some crazy stuff and the company just got sick of dealing with them. I can only say from my experience as as woman and a driver that they are top notch in all they do. I will probably retire here for sure.

These are some very good people, but a very poorly run business. I worked there for about 5 months and had 4 paychecks bounce but they aways made it right quickly. This was a worry I, as an o/o, should not have had to deal with. By the way, Baker, you have fooled no one. You, sir, are a liar. You have worked there 2-6 years, according to what message board you are on. Shame on you for trying to mislead people about a bad / poorly run company. Remember guys, where there's smoke there's usually fire. Good luck to all of you and God bless.
