CRST Sex Discrimination

Just spoke to former CRST recruiter turned independent recruiter. Said that she just quit recruiting recruiting for CRST, because she had just recieved a bulletin stating a big sexual discrimination lawsuit against CRST.

Primarily discrimination from recuiters towards women. Then, of course the trainers. Said many other things but all basically around same thing.

She spent about 10 minutes giving reasons not to work there (mainly under contract). Said they force u to team drive etc..

anyways, just thought I'd share.

Just about everyone knows that CRST is a team company. At least I thought they new. So how are you forced to team? thats how they operate.

I only need one reason not to work at CRST. Low team pay you split with a stranger.

I got a letter from CRST about the lawsuit

As a former female CRST driver (for all of one month) I got a letter from the company last week saying that I might be contacted by attorneys from the EEOC or private attorneys involved in the class action lawsuit regarding sexual harassment. The letter went on and on about how great CRST is, how they are proud of their treatment of women, blah, blah, blah, and they hope if I have any complaints against the company I will call the names given or my former fleet manager and discuss the complaints with them rather than with the attorneys. HAH! A lot of good talking to my fleet manager did when I was with them! They suddenly want to "listen" to me now???? I wasn't sexual harassed because I was with female trainers, but the hell they put me through was certainly harrassment of a different kind and was most definitely a hostile work environment. When I called in during that month of hell and asked for help, they agreed what was happening was "unacceptable", but I was told to "deliver the load" over and over. Their word for what I went through was "unfortunate." I would LOVE for the EEOC attorneys to call me. I have nothing to say about sexual harrassment, but I can tell them plenty about CRST's training program. I will never speak to CRST management again. It is "unfortunate" that they are jerks.

EEOC attorneys will have zero interest in how you were treated and are unhappy with CRST unless it specifically relates to the case they are involved with.

As for any lawsuits, the fact that one has been filed means little. Lawsuits are filed in courts all day long, and very few of them actually result in anything. If they are being sued, it will be years before anything happens on it.

I understand that. I didn't say I was calling the attorneys, only hoping they would call me as the letter said they might. If they ring my phone you can bet I'll at least take a few minutes of their time to run down CRST just because I can.

It will probably get settled, like most lawsuits do. CRST will pay a few million, the attorney's will get most of that, CRST will admit no guilt, and the people who suffered, "might" get a small pittance.
