Schneider

New drivers beware.Schneider will lead you on with promises that for the most part are not kept.Watch your paycheck closely.

I was promised a local route that never transpired. Also a transfer to another board for a big raise in pay.Never happened!

Don Schneider is worth 3 billion but won't pay his drivers a decent cpm.

Shame on you!

My guess is you don't accumulate 3 billion $$ by being generous to your employees.

Rad, are you still with Schneider? Also, are you a new driver or someone with a year's experience? Just trying to see through the fog a bit.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

No longer with them.I left after being promised some things that did not happen.I was strung along the "garden path" as the saying goes.I know there are better cpm rates advertised but I did not get them.I finally saw the light and moved on.

I do not regret the decision.

when you went there, did you have any experience, or were you still new to the industry?

I was new and have to say the training was good.I did not sign a contract so I was free and clear to move on, if need be.I am just not happy with being promised things that did not happen. My advice to anyone going to Schneider is believe only what is in writing.I chalk it up to a good learning experience.

What shame? Start your own company, build it up to one of the largest and most successful in the country, then maybe you can be worth $3 billion too.

Depends on what driver classification you are in.System would pay a little more than dedicated.I was dedicated and was paid a whopping .23 cpm,
definitely below the poverty line, starvation wages. As a system driver it would probably be a little more, but not much, maybe .25 cpm.

Just be sure if you decide to go with them, do not take anybody's word for anything, especially the recruiters. There are worse companies out there but do your homework. There is a wealth of info on this site about them.

Whatever you decide, good luck to you and drive safe.
