High turnover with O/O's at USX. No force dispatch, but they will make life hard on you if you turn down a hot load. Watch a recruiter named Tracy. She will tell you anything to get you on. Her main objective is getting a bonus check. She doesn't care about the driver. Of course that is probably most recruiters.

Waiting!!! USX

Went through the so called orientation at USX (FBI/CIA hires people easer) and I listened to all the wonderful we care stories and got my Dr. laughting at all the notes that he had to send to then, saying that I was able to drive a truck because my hair was it's natural color. LOL! After all the hoops I had to jump through I findly was what they call activeated after 3 weeks of trying to get hired on there. But it has been going on 2 weeks now and still waiting for a trainer at home.(With no pay!) I guess USX is living up to what people have said about them. All the other guys that went through school with me have been on the road for weeks now with other company's. So now I am at the point that USX will be stuck with me till I get what they owe me and let me go LOL just because of the way they have treated me . It works both ways huh! I also think that there may be some kind of legal action that can be brought agents these kinds of misleading and fraudulent statements made by some of these companies and their representatives, which will not be hard to get LOL! Oh yea, I will tell my recuter that the $1k that she is to get for getting me hired is to pay my bills while I am waiting to go to work. What do you think she will say??? Poll LOL!!!
Badger

PS. Why does'nt a legal representative look in to this and put a stop to it ?????

Hey Badger .....went to orientation last week....finally got home friday on bus(hired on wed)...call trainer coor. puts me on hold without saying a word then tells me to call every Tues and Thurs. between 3pm and 5pm while she checks for trainers.... she also said that there are about 200 other people ahead of me waiting on trainers....I was lucky because while in orientation I got a part time gig until I get a trainer....I was told 2-3 weeks for trainers

wow USX must be REEEEEAAAALLLY low on trainers! When I started there we were all out with a trainer within a day or two. (just a couple years ago) I have to agree that the FBI and CIA hires people easier than USX does. Its about insane all the BS they put you through in orientation. If a person has EVER had ANY type of surgery they MUST have a work release from their doctor saying they're capable of driving a T/T

Not to mention all of the blind signing you do when you're there. They call you into the orientation office and say here sign....you have the electronic type pen, you use it to sign an electronic type pad....never knowing what you sign. Now that I think back, that's a really STUPID thing for anybody to know...I'll never sign anything without knowing what it is I'm signing again.

Hello all. I got my CDL on July 26. Had lots to do to get ready for the road. All the normal stuff plus delegating my current business over to others. Went to orientation at US Xpress and was hired on August 27. Still waiting on a trainer. I was told yesterday the wait time could be one day to 2 weeks. (2 more weeks???) I've already waited one week. Supposed to call co-ordinator once a week. At what point in time should you give up and move on.....?
Disappointed.......

Dandelion,

Why would you go there? Why, why, why? You know that if they advertise in truckstop magazines they should be avoided. Did you not read the other posts about them? Here is a little help for you. Take it for what it is worth. I will repeat. Any company that advertises in magazines that you find in a truckstop should be avoided. The reason is very simple. They do not advertise there because they have too much freight. They advertise because they have such a huge driver turnover. They treat drivers poorly, pay them substandard wages, provide expensive benefits (if any at all) and generally lie to everyone to get them to sign on.

You people need to learn that there are better companies out there if you take the time to find them.

Drive safe

I don't chain, period. I check the weather in the winter time everyday on my laptop and then also call the state numbers before I get to certain passes. If chains are required I shut it down or take an alt route. The company I work for(Knight) doesn't force drivers to chain.
