no kidding. in the last 4 weeks in training ive seen some of the lowest forms of life in a few truck stops. some of those truck stops ill never visit again. i couldnt get used to the stench of some of these drivers, nor could i get used to some of those drivers just staring like they were some convict locked up looking at me like i was some 6 foot 1 260 lbs new piece of meat for them.man this industry needs a change.

I did laugh
But also cringed, I have been around somebody like that
Having to hold your breath, just hoping not to throw up
But never trapped in a truck for weeks

i cant seem to understand why they would have made this stench bucket a mentor? there is no excuse for that behavior. i left my mentor's truck friday because i was getting sick of being yelled at and pushed to go go go go go go go go. i work hard but i am in the 4th week of training and i couldnt take the ######## anymore. so i got of his truck. first off he would never sleep much ran on coffee and cigerettes. then he would mumble so low i could never hear him. then he would yell if i didnt obey his every order like i was his captive. finally instead of me beating the #### outta him i got of the truck.he was so tired all the time. he would say "turn left, no turn right" no keep going" then when i couldnt figure what he wanted he started getting pissed. generally a good guy at the begining, but he hasnt been home in 3 and a half months.this is a swift mentor. i liked him at the start but the abuse got worse. i love driving and i will make a good employee, but cmon companies do something about your mentor's . enforce hygiene would be a good start. dont make us trainees suffer at the hands of these mentors. most of us are trying to make a living we shouldnt have to put up with bad mentor's.

Check it, my 2nd trainer did not stop to take a shower for at least 6 days from the time he picked me up. I was stuck with him, so needless to say I didn't either, but I at least changed my draws, man. I would wash up and change clothes. Dude wore the same mess 6 days straight, homie! And yes, he had that butt funk going strong. Every time I took the wheel it rose from the seat like an invisible funk gas. His name was Jason, I ain't skeered, and he drove for Werner through a OO called Temperly Red Dog Express, I think that was it.
