Werner Trainer Craps Himself

I cant belive this is still going...

I work for werner... requirementsbeen with them since the first of the year and it has worked outt well for me.. but, it doesnt for everyone. .. which is true of any company really. ..

2 days of orientation is okay.. I had 2 and 1\2 then on the trainers truck.. I got a trainer right away which is not always the case.. sometimes you have to wait for a trainer...

It didnt workout with my first trainer, but just a call to my SDM and we were routed to the terminal and I got another trainer the next day... who was an awesome trainer.

So, if you get a bad trainer dont stay with them.. call your sdm and get another trainer...


The thing is... there are a lot of drivers who have no desire or interest in training... there are also those who started training and either gave it up or not allowed to train anymore...

So, they have to keep a fresh crop of trainers to train the fresh crop of students...

Which is why drivers with less than a year can become trainers...

Now, there are other requirements. .. like a driver cant become a trainer if they have had accidents or have a high CSA score and such..

However, as the need and demand for trainers goes up.. the requirements for trainers goes down..

But that is also true with drivers... the fall is coming up and it will be a busy busy time.. so the need for drivers will be higher and a company that turned you down in may will now gladly bring you on...

 

Amazing how so many complain about. Trainer's experience at megas companies when they pushing out so many students so fast you really can't complain about a trainer's experience. You really think you could get enough trainers with 5 plus experience at these megas. C'mon common sense people. The best trainers will be at the smaller companies IMO. At a mega be happen if he have a year or so with no accidents, get what you need and move on

 

Ok I'm guessing your defense is because you with your 1 year experience are a trainer?
