If you recall 2009. I was one of over 200 people who was lay'd off from my employer . Every dollar counts when you are unemployed and cannot sit and draw unemployment .
My only means of transportation gets just under 12 MPG . Does it make more sense why I was angry at the recruiter . I'm not kidding when I Say I called Wells Fargo and explained to them , I do not have the money to get back home. I'm am way over simplifying the situation . I asked the man several times because I knew once I got their I was broke. I'm lucky , I learned allot about how they do things. I ended up way better off , But I stood their in front of his desk while he told a guy in Houston over the phone ,Come on up .. Just like he told me.

So let's say you weren't looking for a job in the trucking industry, what would you expect from a potential employer who asked you to come down for an interview that's within 100 miles? Do you ask for a bus ticket? Do you ask them to come pick you up and take you back? It probably doesnt look too good if you dont even have a few bucks for a 1-time expense to land a possible life long career. Why should any employer pay the expenses for someone they don't know if or not will meet their expectations. It goes both ways, they might not be happy with what they saw so its a gamble for both parties. In that case, if they do pay for you to come out do you reimburse them to be fair? I doubt you will. I just don't understand why so many think these companies owe them anything.

The best thing any driver could do is stay away from this company!!!...you will spend more time in the shop than moving..I guarantee it!!! Their equipment is absolute junk beyond anything imaginable..

The co-owner Leonard raises seven kinds of heck when he had to pay any repair bill..he will do anything to avoid paying repair bills..

Hello all of you current and former TDI drivers. 5 year, 31 year old OTR driver here. I possibly may be coming on with this company, and my yard would be in MN. I just would like to know are the miles still here? What exactly is there home time policy? I have heard they don't have one... that you need around a 10,000 miles per month average and you figure out your own home time with most drivers out "12-14 days taking 2-3 off". So is a day and a half off for a week worked a fair assumption? Do you guys run any condo trucks... I'm a tall one. Lastly, is there a fuel and routing plan and since they seem to be one of the last companies I myself know of that have paper logs are they pushing your legal boundaries as far as asking you to drive illegal (strict with logs). Excited about running West... I myself have done lots of east coast and enjoy a possible change. They scare me a little with the old trucks but with good there is always bad. Any answers or words of advice with this company are greatly appreciated as is all of your time responding. Be safe fellow drivers and thanks! -TooTallTom

And that is why most OTR jobs are garbage, because we still have drivers willing to keep these horrible companies in business.

    drvrtech77 Thanks this.

I have to take all the negative drivers say about a company driver with a grain of salt. Drivers in my opinion are more likely to come on here and complain about a company that has actually mistreated them (some drivers also in my opinion probably had it coming) than they are to sign up with a name and talk any positive. I agree, OTR is mostly garbage companies. I have worked with several. It really comes down to me wanting another year OTR and actually head west... have had enough East Coast... I like the west, I would like to see the west a little more and I just wanted to see if anyone had any positive to say about this company. Not signed on with them yet... keeping my options open. Thanks guys.
