I recall the Word saying "True religion is this: Feed the Hungry, Clothe the naked, Visit the Infirmed, and so forth" (can't recall where right now) - so that, coupled with dedicated life to God is not a statement you make to use or to show people how great you are.
Using manipulation to coerce people to your will is basic witchcraft; a cardinal sin.
I often like to ask when I see those giant Madonna-sized crosses on someone's neck:
"Is that a Declaration or a Decoration?" :biggrin_2554:

Just looking around and saw all the hatred about Risinger trucking. I find this funny how such a large company has picked on such a few people. And pay is done thru Qual com not trip packs?:biggrin_25511:One can only wonder did you do your job and enter everything on the qual com? U say you have your copies? Its a perfect record of the jobs you hauled. There will never be the perfect trucking company. If you want that you are dreaming. I have worked for large small, religious and not everyone has some issues. If you did everything you said and your believe you are right call OOIDA and get them involved guarentee you will get results. I would love to hear what you have to say on how the military treated me for defending your RIGHT to complain. No showers paychecks missed for over a month gone for 9 moths or more watched over 14 fellow military freinds die. Your $200 dollors seems trivial to the things Ive lost for your freedom. If you want to be home every night and get paid big bucks the jobs are hard to find. Hope you do better. But remember one day you might own a company. What if someone taked about you like this. What if it was a mistake?

Paul why are you trying to compare the military to trucking that is insane. You also forgot to mention all the positive things about the military like benefits career advancement opportunity's. I did 22 years in the military and have been a driver 2 and a half years. Still haven't found a company that gave me the security the Army gave me.
It is not hard to find a company to pay you what your worth but you have to do the research, and get the required endorsements. Best of luck to every one out there.

Call your state's department of labor and initiate a claim.

Yep. I always made copies of everything at the first hint of payroll issues.Better to have a record of things,in case things get ''lost.''

Yawn. First off unless your a WWII veteran ,you haven't fought for OUR freedom.

Korea,Vietnam,Iraq,Afghanistan have nothing to do with our ''freedoms'' and you didn't preserve a single one of them. They were never in danger. If anything, as a result of these latest entanglements, our freedoms are at risk of being diminished.Ever heard of the Patriot Act?

Another thing, unless you were drafted, you volunteered to endure horrible conditions and possibly die.A trucker who goes to work at some carrier shouldn't have to get screwed out of his money nor risk getting shot. They didn't sign up for that. You did.

I also volunteered for the Army.Whenever I had payroll issues, they were promptly resolved.Comparing a mistake on your LES is not the same as being intentionally screwed out of your money by some Bible thumping company with a bad reputation.

    As you were.

at first I was gonna rip your for you WW2 comments. I wasn't in the first or the second but I am A veteran and I DID serve for MY country. then you mellowed so I'm ok. but you can't compare military with civilian 2 different worlds. as you said pay problems were always resolved quickly and didn't happen often. As for treatment I think too many people fail to look out for THEMSELVES. listen to the suggestions here and you can protect yourself, and if you fell uncomfortable the first day WALK AWAY. Just my opinion from a vet who earned the rifght to give it.

I read the bible once....Then I found a decent book!

I used to know a guy that had "TRUCKIN' FOR JESUS" written in huge letters on both sides of his sleeper. The guy wore a big cross and carried a bible around everywhere he went, Had bible passages all over the back of his trailer and talked incessantly about the lord!

He was a real P.I.T.A...He was also the sorriest P.O.S. I ever had the misfortune of knowing and would lie, steal and cheat you out of your last dollar if you gave him half a chance!

Every bible thumper I've ever had to deal with was just like him on one level or another...I'd NEVER work for anyone that made an issue of religion.

Get OOIDA involved and get results????
You got to be ####### kidding me?
I was leased to a company a number of years ago and by the time I told them to pound-sand, they owed me in excess of $19k. I called OOIDA, they sent off a letter, made a phone call and "called it good". It STILL took me almost 6 months to get my money.
