I was just wondering as to what other people might know about Swift, their overall reputation, and as to how they tend to treat their drivers.

I used to work for the company and had a lot of problems with them and I have heard that I am not the only one that has had problems with them and I would like to learn more about their overall reputation and as to what other peoples experiences with them have been.

Any information would be appreciated and helpful.

Have you tried performing a forum search yet? There are tons of posts about Swift on this website, mostly negative. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I have not had a chance to really go through them as of yet because I am new to the board. Thank you for welcoming me to the board.

I was wondering as to whether or not you might know as to where all of the negative reports are and as to what Swift might have against them relating to the law as I am very interested in finding out about all of their legal cases and judgements that might have entered against them due to the way that they operate and conduct their business.

I am curious to find out because they fired me last year and now they are fighting my unemployment and I am looking for anything that I can use in my defense against them.

If you have any suggestions as to where I can look I would greatly appreciate it.

I personally don't think that the company is worth a hill of beans and I would like to find evidence to back me up as they are trying to paint me as being the villain and I don't like that as most of my problems were in my opinion caused by them.

good luck in that fight...Swift has big lawyers and big money and whatever you try to fight they would have your lawyer or whoever doing circles.

What were you fired for would be a good start?

Swift terminated said that it was for safety and performance when the terminated me and now they are claiming that I committed misconduct.

I disagree with them on this case and so does my father who is an attorney as I have told him everything that that they have done to me pretty much since the day that I started with them.

I have over 5 years experience and I came over from another trucking company because I liked the sound of the recent pay increase program and the hometime that they were touting at the time. I also thought that I would be able to be a trainer with them considering that I had been a trainer with CRST previously.

Unfortunately they did not take any of that into consideration and they put me out with one of their trainers that had less experience than I did and he thought that he knew everything about the trucking industry.

One of the things that he did was to have me log on his home terminal time which was different than mine and that caused me to get a log violation. I told him at the time that I knew that was wrong, but he would not listen to me and told me that if I did not do things his way, then he was going to dump me off in the middle of Egypt.

After he let me off the truck I complained to my terminal manager about the issue and as to what had happened, but it went right in one ear and out the other and that was just the start of a long year of total and complete ######## with the company.

From then on things only got worse with them as they would never communicate with me when I asked them questions about a lot of things and I don't know if you have ever noticed but their trailers are pieces of ####. Most of their trailers are not properly maintained by them for any reason and most of them have a tendency of not passing most shippers and consignee's requirements and they are barely able to pass the DOT's requirements.

They are a very cheap company to work for and they will rip you off and backstab you every chance that they can get. There is a lot more that I can write about this and I will, but at the moment it is very late here and I need to be going to bed soon.

This is a long story and it will take a long time to describe it all and if I don't tell it properly, then people will get the wrong idea and start to think that I caused all of the problems and I don't want that to happen and that is why I would like to tell this story properly so that the right picture is formed as to what happened with them.

Thank you for the link. I am going to check out all of those sites and I will send them to my father as I am sick and tired of Swift's ########.

It's kind of funny in that they actually have a poster in the driver services building in Phoenix that indicates that they don't throw around ######## like the other companies do, but yet they do pretty much the same thing and then some. What's even funnier is that this is a recruitment poster as well for the company. It has a picture of a cow taking a crap on it.

I can't say that I know everything about the trucking industry, but I do know ######## when I see it and hear it and swift is #### good at throwing it around just like a lot of the other companies.

Most of these trucking recruiters are like military recruiters in that they will tell you anything to get you in the do, but then once you are in the door the whole thing changes on you as they change all of the rules.

Ahhhh, good old Swift.I came out of retirement two years ago and drove for Swift for four months. From my experience Swift is the bottom of a rusted out barrel. Read thru some of the posts here about Swift. Most of them are true. As with any trucking co. there are good and bad dispatchers,(DMs).But with Swift most of them are bad.If you have your CDL and are lookin for a job, take my advice and look elsewhere.:biggrin_2551:

That is a good idea, but at the moment I don't think that I will be able to get another trucking job for awhile as they got me into a lot of trouble and now they are trying to deny that that they had anything to do with it and they are trying to put all of the blame on me by trying to paint me as being a bad employee to the unemployment law judge and I do not like it.

I don't know about you, but I have seen children that are more honest and trustworthy than they are. Swift is nothing but a bunch of liars and criminals and they have a long track record of proving that as they have and still do have a lot of issues with the law in which they are suspect.

If you actually had any experience (or smarts) how on earth did you wind up at Swift!!???? They can be loosely referred to as a training company and barely even that. Just the mere statement that you had experience when you came to Swift does not speak very highly of you...
