Catprint Red overweight tickets

I'd like to know if the company that I just quit, take my check because of two overweight tickets that I had? Please answer as soon as possible because time is of the essence!

If the ticket is you the driver's name its all yours to make sure it gets paid. No exceptions, no excuses. The state does not care where they get their money as long as they get it.

If the company says they will pay it make DAMN SURE you stay on top of them to see to it that it happens.

That's why I asked. If it's in his name, the company has nothing to do with it, unless they said they will pay it. I would make sure they paid it. If it's in their name, he has nothing to do with it. They can't make him pay for their ticket.

As I said, they paid for the ticket because they had to. The problem is that they kept my check when I quit, claiming that I owed them that money. Is that legal? By the way, I'm in South Carolina. The cop wouldn't let me leave until it was paid for. So I had to sit until it was paid at the truck stop.

ARE YOU 100% POSITIVE? CALL THE COURT AND VERIFY!!!!

There is a reason I ask. Many times a company SAYS they will pay the ticket and don't. And YOU will be driving down the road one day, minding your own biz, get pulled into a scale and shut down because of some unpaid ticket in your past. And there you sit.

Most here won't know the SC employment laws. Call your state employment office and ask them.

I can see that being legal. If you went to court, they would say they paid them on your behalf. They can say they never told you to run overweight. Even if they did, how can you prove it?
