I can usually see over my trailer, and still end up getting out. It's hard to judge how close something is from 50 feet away.

Any odds that the window was just tinted? Because it seems to me that the window would be hard to get rolled down if it had a bag "Taped" to it. And if all you could see was the top of his head then the window would have had to be part way down.

And yes I do believe that there are drivers out there that are dumb enough to do it. Heck I've seen them use towels with the side window rolled up to hold it in place.

Why is common sense so damned uncommon?

Rule #1 about using a G.P.S
You must first be SMARTER then the G.P.S

Rule #2 Sadly a lot of drivers are not.

It'd be great

It'd be great if sensible people could take over Swifty and pull it out of the muck. There is no excuse for what you guys are seeing out there when it comes to Swift trucks. From Swift fireballers driving like madmen around Phoenix, to Swiftys in truckstops all over tearing off fenders and mirrors, to Swift "mentors" with 6 months' experience training, mentors who could have been trained by mentors, who could have been trained by mentors, and on and on and on. And then there's their turnover issue. Do I have to mention this aspect of that great outfit?

I'd love to take over Swift. I'd turn it around.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

And Swift drivers are the only ones that run into other trucks in T/S parking lots?

And..?

And why do I have to answer to you again? Yeah, that's right. I don't.

Exert some effort here on the site if you're so bent on digging up dirt on people.

You yourself sure are on here a lot for a driver, Mr. SwiftCheer.

That'd be blazing

That'd still be faster than the company speed of the mid-90s.

In the coming world of declining energy/increasing population, Carter wanted a soft landing and imposed the 55-mph speed limit nationwide. Reagan wanted us to drive faster, and made the American way of life non-negotiable. He backed that way of life with military force. Now the landing may be a lot harder.

Which way was correct? Know that the census bureau predicts the US population could be over 1.1 BILLION by 2100. It also predicts 300 million by 2010 using the same model. Well, guess what....
