bluovaltruk reputation is Neither Here Nor There
Working for the crash and roll stunt team too

I'm currently employed with them...so I'm sitting at the house because my co-driver quit on me. The OTR thing wasn't for him, and living in WV, its hard as hell to get a co-driver thats close. I can't say anything bad about the company except for the 6 month OTR before you can do anything solo. I made decent money, especially for training last month, didn't sit except for memorial day weekend in des moines, and got home when I was supposed to, but since I can't find a co-driver close, it looks like I'm going somewhere else.

Week one with Melton is over and so far so good. I am home now with a load that delivers tomorrow 70 miles from home. Its a full tarp lumber load that it the length of my trailer and 13' high.....I am paranoid about driving it up the road but I think my paranoia will help me be safer with it. It was a straight up ##### to tarp it too.....but I got it done in under two hours. Sooo, with $40 tarp pay, I got paid $20 an hour to tarp it.

Most companies out there don't pay that much for any new driver. But if you do your home work, make copies of all receipts, including keeping track of all your miles that you drove, and you got paid. If you have any qualms with what they paid you then it is up to you to contact the payroll department, and your DM and get it straighten out.. And remember the best was to make money is to keep the left door shut, don't turn down loads, unless you can't do them legally..

Beerman, why do you have to sit so long? Is it that slow out there or are they trying to teach you a lesson? Thankyou to all who post. I'd have been at CRST right now had I not been reminded of a prior committment, just 4 days before I was scheduled to leave. After I renegged on the schedule, the bad reports regarding this company seemed to be more frequent and far worse than what they were prior.

By the way, how are you and the Hawaiian Honey getting along?
