They can get you home almost every weekend. The exception would be if you take a load to the coast. It's possible but not likely to get home from there by the end of the week. They have a lot of shorter loads to Minnesota out of Fort Dodge. The guys who do those get home most nights, but you have to hustle to be where you need to be....it's hard to unload when they're closed. I personally think you can make more money driving in the midwest...from east of the Rockies to Ohio, Minnesota to Texas. Less congestion and a lot of different ways to get around. That's where a lot of Keim's business is. I would tell them what you want. If hometime's important they need to know that upfront.

you have nothing to lose to go and talk with them. like the other person said, they have runs going north and then back south. if your willing to run you can get some good miles in on the local/regional side of it.
    good luck

Be very careful when considering this company for a career in OTR driving. My Father-in-law works for them and is going to miss his oldest grandsons graduation this weekend because the owners son has a hard on for him. It has been ugly and now has turned his son and possibly his grandson against my father-in-law. I don't call belittling someone when they refuse a load a NO forced dispatch situation. Family is NOT what this company is about---of course, maybe if your last name happens to Keim, the family is okay for you. I grew up in the town they are from so I do know these people and they have ALWAYS been underhanded and crooked!!!!!

Update on situation with my father-in-law!!!!!! He did miss graduation. On Monday he called from a rest area and was having chest pains---the dispatcher told him to call the dispatcher on his mobile phone, but not to call 911. To top it all off, he is suppose to have a doctor appointment this Friday--and low and behold wouldn't you know it, they are NOT going to get him through to go to it!!!!!!!! Amazing that a company like this can exist in this day and age, but I guess there are people out there who don't mind being treated like crap. All their drivers need to leave this company high and dry and tell the owner and his son to drive the trucks to where the sun doesn't shine!

WELLLLLLL, what can I say about the situation I am about to tell you about. The father-in-law missed State track for the grandson, but his idiot dispatcher was there. And now he wants to scheduld his vacation--they tell him "We'll see". And then tell them that they don't want to hear it when he tells then "I just want to get home for a weekend". They make sure he gets home during the week---to turn in their precious ppw.------I am thinking this is the last straw. Really, anyone considering a job here should RUNNNNN.

Here is what I have to say about Keim TS out of Sabetha KS. I have worked for Stan Keim the owner for over 8 years. Five of those years as a company driver the other 3 as an owner operator. It is the friendliest company by far that I have had the opportunity to work for. They treat me with respect and listened to my concerns. I have no negative comments to say about Keim I plan on working here till I retire. That's how good they have been to me. Give them a call and check it out for yourself.
