This is how I feel about the trucking industry. We all complain about these companies and are able to pin point the problems they give, and the disrespect they have for drivers. We all know that they lie and deceive us.

We all need to stop working for these people. Why are we allowing them to make the billions of dollars while we hardly make nothing?

I honestly think when the drivers stop applying for jobs with these people and these companies start going out of business one at a time, just maybe they will get the picture.

When we just quit and walk away ignoring the problems does not help either. I know some companies have an open door policy, with closed ears!!!

Anyone else have any ideas on how we can all stop being treated like were not human?

Problem is nobody will listen or few anyway. I have lost track of all the warnigs I have read and gave on boards and drivers still flock to these outfits. Mostly newbies, but the killer is they know about it, but 1 brand new driver that has nothing to compare a company with because they don't know anything about trucking will post well this is a good co. I have been there 3 months and they are just great....... Who will the other newbie listen to? You got it the blind leading the blind. Then a few months later they both belly up and lose everything......

That's why I left the trucking industry years ago. It's a crap job, for crap pay. There are no "good" trucking jobs. If there are, they are few, and far in between. You would be better off working at a Walmart, than any OTR outfit! There will always be wide-eyed newbees looking to jump into it, despite all the warnings. I wish these internet boards would have been around when I did it. I drove concrete mixers mostly. It was more like a regular job.

if they are making billions in profits like you assume they are, why are so many going out of business anyway??? I can assure you it has nothing to do with a lack of drivers. there will always be a glut of worthless filth who will take any job they can get with any company because they simply can't DO any better. and even if blacks and white trailer trash quit working for them, there are millions of fresh mexicans to take their place (for very reasonable wages.) so good luck with your stategy.

Chief, I will assume you're not pigeonholing ALL black drivers of OTR trucks into the category of "worthless filth" here. Be careful what you post, man. This could be taken to mean your name is David Duke in real life.

And I'd guess a lot of whites who drive OTR aren't worthless filth, either. I ran into a few I'd label that while driving, but most are pretty good ol' boys. I wouldn't call anyone I've met here at the homestead site worthless filth, even those I've butted heads with. They're hard working guys who support themselves and their families and are trying to live out their lives without being bothered by anybody. No problem with that. No filth there. Go to a local Pen if you want to see some filth.

It is the economy that causes the current situation. I have always wanted to truck and now it might be the only thing worth while than I can do. Thank God I have my health and my kids are grown up in college. I now feel free to be away from home for a month at a time. There will be no shortage of drivers but there might be a shortage of loads if things continue the way they are going.

You need to calm down. This is a FORUM. Opinions are always placed. The whole world of trucking GURUs gather here to talk about anything and everything in the trucking industry. He didn't specifically call any one person "worthless filth." AND no part of his comments were anywhere near based on racism. He mentioned Blacks, Whites, and Mexicans. The is a diverse group of people that work anywhere and everywhere. GET USE TO IT.. THIS IS AMERICA! If a MUSLIM can support a terrorist network in NC and say there is nothing wrong with it, then we can come on here and state how we feel and think. Research the constitution, then reply some common sense. Get over it.

I know where you are coming from. I truly understand what you are stating and attempting to get your point across. Let me say this though, people are always going to do things and say things that are going to offend someone else. You were offended by that comment. You stated your defense clearly. BUT, There was no wrong in what was said. AT ALL. PERIOD. He spoke as he felt. By saying his statement, that doesn't mean that he hates all races and groups all around the world. It states that the majority of people in GENERAL, ALL TYPES, there will be a bunch of filth and lowlifes. Did he write his statement wrong?? Maybe. Could he have worded it better?? Maybe... BUT he made his point valid. Just like you stated yours.

I made the comment about a NC man, who has a website that supports Terrorists. This guy is an American Citizen. He has a website that provides people with videos and pictures and words to harm the US in any way, shape, or form. He is directly linked to SUPPORTING Alqada.
His neighbor made a comment that people should not judge him, because he is an American Citizen and he has freedom of speech and can do anything else that US as Americans can do... THIS guy, is still sittin in his house, running this website. WHY??? because our government is so blind and F***** UP that they think there is nothing wrong.

Long story short,
The comment was to reflect upon the comment made on here. PERIOD.. Thats it. Nothing more, nothing less.

We live in a society these days that is ruthless and unforgiving. Once people start realizing this, little comments will become "Just another day."
