JB Hunt recriuting at my house??

I just got a phone call from a JB recruiter looking to see if I knew any drivers interested in employment. He wasn't interested if I was still looking, but rather if I knew someone. Now that's a lot of nerve to call someones home in the hopes you, the guy they said was not experienced enough to drive for them, would help them!! I gave him 2 words of advice and hung up.

I made the mistake of talking with one of their recruiters one day and now they call about 2 or 3 times a month.
They just don't get it........

Unfortunately, as long as there are people stupid enough to listen to these people and worse yet, work for them, then this will be the way things are.

I gave up on the OTR trucking scene, it just came across to me as a world full of misinformation and confusion just to name a few. After my last outing with Swift I would rather do dock work then be a OTR driver.
Instead I worked my butt off and got a local job with Sygma. I don't have to go out with a idiot trainer for 6 weeks or more, Im home every night and weekends, and it pays just as well if not much better.
Im sure there are very good OTR companies out there, but if your a recent grad your chances of hooking up with one seem to be 1000-1. Instead you have to take a chance and hook up with one of these #### outfits and be treated like crap for a year or more.
No thanks!!

I know one way to stop that, but it isn't appropriate for public posting here.

That's similar to many other stories of recruiters that get through the greeting and get hung up on, THEN CALL THE DRIVER RIGHT BACK and say some smart-### stuff then hang up. Like "How can I tell you about this awesome job I have open in ****** if you hang up the phone?"

I know one guy, was 5'4" and he was an ***hole during AND outside of work, wanted to punch him so hard, he's a dispatcher now. He did that all the time, and I was waiting for the time some driver showed up to kick his arse. One day in particular, I saw a 53 Reefer pull up AROUND THE HQ ROUNDABOUT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING. I was hoping that this guy was coming up to backhand some of the shady gents who worked the floor I did. Turns out he didn't, but it was a little different to have a different company's truck across the roundabout in front of the JB Hunt headquarters.

Do this to stop 'em

Call up your state's attorney general and tell him all about the annoying phone calls you get from JoBHunt.

Those guys are always desperate and will stop at nothing to feed their meat grinder. But you can stop this nonsense if you really want it to stop.

Mr. Dude, long time, no hear from. I myself have been winding down my time here. How's the railroad these days?

It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.
