No, I can't tell you where they took the trucks from Washita to Tulsa. I just heard they moved them to Tulsa. Maybe they went to Broken Arrow? Doesn't the new place they bought have a yard beside it? I had heard that but don't know for sure. Shoot, maybe they let them go back to the dealership and just told they were moving them to Tulsa Hand. Nothing Link says is truthful.

I was an owner operator for them once they bought out Washita. I do believe they are trying to get rid of all their O/O's. It's good that you didn't go with them. I still have friends who are still there and they are complaining that they are not getting the miles. Last week he told me he only got 1,600 miles for the week. Those are no miles. That's why I left my last two weeks were along those lines in mileage.

Well, I don't feel so bad that I left Mike Brooks, Inc just before they were scooped up by LinkAmerica. Had a feeling that things were not going to be good. I have been justified in my decision to leave them. Oh Well.... got a good deal now so that is ancient history. I really like working for Mike Brooks before they started having troubles. Saw the writing on the wall early on. Didn't know at the time I left that it was Link America that was going to scoop them up. I just knew that something was in the wind, so I cut my loses and left. Mike was a decent guy and I like him a lot. Spent about 8.5 years there.

Hey all i work for link America, have been there for not even a month. Things sounded good in orientation, had high hopes, thinking o.k maybe their different .." Yeah Right" have ran my butt off for this company , they are not paying for the loads that have already been ran within the pay period... 12 loads in less than three weeks and only been paid for three of them. Just another company running off the drivers pay... typical ...

After reading everything about Link America, Lane Freight, Washita, DGI, Brooks, and on and on with more companies they are purchasing.
Anyone considering going to work for this company, or leasing on with them DON'T!!!! Everything people are saying about this company is the TRUTH! Link America hires new drivers every two weeks. Because at the end of two weeks when people have not been paid, or Link has taken money out of their payroll they quit. It really is comical to see their little recruiting van outside every two weeks knowing that in two weeks all the new drivers they hired and put on trucks will be sitting once again in another two weeks.
This is how they are making their money by cheating drivers out of it.
They are taking out of company drivers payroll for per diem. Has anyone ever heard of that?
They also are taking out fuel and fuel discount money from company drivers giving it back because they call it reimbursement and don't have to pay taxes on the discounts they get. Yes, this is legal and on that thin line of lying.
They do not give 100% fuel surcharge to the owner operators. In fact the o/o are not getting much of a fuel surcharge. They have breached contracts and could care less who gets hurt as long as its not them. They pay EVERY TWO WEEKS and beyond the 15 days that the Federal Lease Laws state has to be paid, and hold some trips back saying they forgot to pay it. And, if the driver does not notice they were not paid they will never get their money. Detention time is NEVER paid nor is LAY OVERS although they say they will pay it but when pay check comes its not on there nor will it ever be even after numerous calls.
When their equipment needs repairs they charge the driver, and then reimburse them although it may take a month before they reimburse the money, and providing they have received all receipts, and some times they say they have not received them. When the driver sends in the orginal and does not get a copy of it he is out of that money for their equipment.
Just about every trailer I have pulled needs work, brakes especially. Their trailers are old and in need of being put out of service permanently.
Christmas and Thanksgiving last year no one got paid on Fri like they were suppose to. Although they have direct deposit everyone had to wait until the following week for their money. And, the drivers were not even told they were not going to receive any pay.
They use to pay 90 cents pm to the o/o then said they didn't have money because of the economy and cut everyone back 5 cents, although the o/o had contracts which specified how much money they are to be paid. They force o/o to purchase their insurance, among other fees.
They are not paying interest on escrow accounts, o/o have the option to have a break down account. They will not give an accounting of this account yet when asked how much money is in there they never know, and it takes months to find out and still no accounting of the exact amount spent nor will they provide receipts.
Look at their safet with DOT and you will see how many trucks and drivers they have. They have had a few fatalities alos. There are no new trucks that I know of. You can go to any one of their yards and see old trucks. They continue to purchase companies that are struggling and who have many trucks. All used trucks!!! No new trailers either!
This is not a company to work for and how do I wished I could find one that at least don't steal from the drivers this bad. My cpa cannot even believe how bad this company is. They say they pay empty miles. They have found ways of not paying those miles. If you want time off and they have given you a load 200 miles away and can't find freight for you, you will sit or go home without being paid those empty miles. As an o/o you go home without their trailer, you don't have to haul anything that is not yours for free!!! They also pay SHORT miles!!!!!
I hope this helps those who are thinking about working for this company. Tell everyone about this company.

One Lie Means A Thoursand Truths Unbelieveable

Don't let this company get away with not paying you. They are hoping you will forget about it or just plain give up. There just has to be someone you can call in your state or theirs to get your money. Don't give up and allow them to do this to you.
Good luck

Try Lane Frieght in Ft Worth, Tx., Washita in Oklahoma City., seems like they move their equipment around alot.
If you go to fmcsa safe sat you can find out how many trucks they have and get the vin numbers for each one. Also, how many drivers they claim to have. haha

I do not remember signing this, This was a small company that was bought by link america and i stayed on , but i don't remember signing any agreement like this. To top it all off they still will not say why they are withholding it. Guess i will have to contact a lawyer. Good thing is i am not the only one.
Make them produce the letter they claim you signed by faxing it to you immediately.
Call the state employment office back and tell them they still refuse to give you your money. Tell them they also claim you signed something and you know you didn't.
Good luck
