I personally know a team that just passed their test. They guy had experience and the girl was just out of truck school. He was an extremely good driver with May company for many years. They begged for him to return. He could have hit a pedestrian and still passed his road test. As for her, she is still in training and doing well. Charging bear you are angry or upset and looking to point the finger, it is what it is.

He does not like being called out to the mat.

He thought all of us would be like poor you and have sympothy for him.

I was there and had a few issues but I did not blame it on the company for the reasons that I did not stay it was just the termnal I was based out of mostly the bad dispatcher that I had she was a newer dispatcher.

I have worked for May, originally out of Layton terminal. Don't know if it's the same tester, but Layton has a reputation of failing alot of drivers. I remember one driver coming in after 2 weeks with his trainer and failed. He complained and ended up going to Brooks. Tested and passed with flying colors. The 13 speed was to be replaced by 9 speeds because alot of schools don't teach 13 speeds.

My school taught on 10 speeds then I came to may and learned 13 speed.
If I have a choice 10 or 13 I would choose the 13 speed..
I too was a person that did not pass my road test at may

1st time in brooks my trainer was doing most of the driving and he would only let me drive on the interstates no intown so I got out of pratice on turns so I was driving like a 4wheeler trying to turn when I tested but I managed to pass the backing course

2nd I was in layton and I was more concerned with grabbing gears and I caught myself grabbing one on the tracks.

3rd time because of my trainer talked to Danny and got me another chance in brooks I passed

Mgassel - take another look. each gear (upper and lower) has two splits - which counts out to me like 18

Looks just like may's did not catch the bottom splits.

But We can drive it right lurch? only thing different is splitting all gears instead of just the high range gears.

whats so hard about a 13? it's just an 8 speed, with a red switch. i trained on a 13 and had no issues. just don't flip the red button til you get to 8th gear... then let off the fuel. to go back to normal 8, flip the red button, give it some fuel. it's basically a 3rd range that auto floats gears.

i am unsure as to what they test on at the Brooks terminal, guess i will find out come this monday, Opal said they were gettin rid of all there petey long noses and replacing them with new century's and a few cascadias. hopefully its a 10, only driven a 13 a couple times in an old 1980 cab over freight. sorta remember the shifting, but noice thing with that truck you could go from 8th straight to 13. if i remeber ya hit the switch left off the throttle for a couple seconds then back on the throttle and it was in 13
