Angry Prime has no respect !!

I went through school in springfield, mo. when you first get there they preach about how the drivers are the life blood of the company, and they put their drivers first, i was there for ten weeks !!
they were suppose to give me home time, after 8.
when it was time to get me home they said sorry it wasn't convenient to get me home right now, so i got on a bus. i drove 7000 miles with a trainer they kept my money, the entire time i was in training we broke dot laws everyday !!!
i had to drive 19 hours one day, most days were 15-16
i realize alot of companies bend and outright break those laws, but they are over the top !! then they don't pay you when you stand up for yourself, while the whole time hiding behind the bible verses they send to the trucks every morning, hypocrites !!!!!!!
avoid prime at all costs, they do not respect you!!!!

Avoid any company that mixes religion with business.

Right up front that tells you the only view they care about is theirs.

Ok first off no company makes you break the dot rules and regs that was you and your trainers choice to do so. All you were to your trainer is another log book to use and someone to make him money.

I totaly understand about the hometime issue I had problems about my hometime when I was out with my first company.
But did you request your hometime? If not then that is partialy your fault.

The company I was with told me once I got my truck I would get a couple of days at home to get all of my stuff the problem was that after I got my truck I got assigned a load with the dispatch saying take this load and then get another to go to hometime.

Well three to five loads later still no hometime and I asked them hey what happened to my prommised hometime they said well we never said that you were getting hometime I said well look at the preplan and dispatch for XXXXXX load they said we do not see it I asked them would you like me to drive my truck there to show you my qualcomm message? Then that message got deleted off of my qualcom somehow.

I got a couple of days off while my truck was in the shop and had to fight for a few more I said enough was enough turned my truck in.

The problem was with my terminal and driver manager I tried to talk to my dm and she had a bad aditude about it so I tried to work it out but she was a different person on the phone than she was when I was face to face with her.

She sent me a message one day forgot what it was about but I walked into the building with out her seeing me and said now what is your problem talk about the back peddling she was trying to doing.

The company that I was at always does a lot check every am to see who and what is there but I snuck in in the middle of the day without them seeing me They may have seen the truck but they do not pay that close attention to wh comes and goes in the day.

I've done a little looking a Prime. I've talked to about 30 drivers. Two told me it was not such a good place to work for. The rest brag about getting all kinds of work/miles, as much as they want and on and on. Something is fishy about the drivers when I talk to them. They seem like Amway sales people trying to sell Prime. I guess because they get a referral fee if I sign up and use their name. Can you shine any light on this?

The people I pay a lot of attention to are posts like yours.

I suspect they are using trainee's for cheap team drivers. What would you say? Especially when they don't pay you, now that's really cheap! I wounder how many people they get away with doing that to?

Thanks for the info.

yes they get money for getting drivers to join companies, prime likes to preach about how they treat you like gold, they send religious quotes through the qualcom every morning, and then they ###### on you.
i requested home time at about ten weeks out, they didn't give it to me so i got on a bus, and they stole my weeks pay i had coming.
do yourself a favor and stay clear of prime !!!!!

How many weeks were you out there?
If you request to get hometime they may not be able to get you home right then that is the nature of the biz they will not deadhead you alot of miles just to get you home.
Most companies make you give them at least 7-14 days prior to getting hometime.

I went with them and just about lost everything I own. In 30 days. I could not get back to my old company fast enough.
