We have talked to several Melton drivers over the last two years and the story was always the same....no miles and sit all weekend....even when we worked for Arrow we would be in the same truckstops and we would always get loads and come back and Melton would still be sitting...
Last summer we were working in farmington NM and two Melton trucks were in town and they sat for FIVE days before they left....and no they were not home.
Melton truck lines- tulsa ,ok.

Melton worked with me in many different ways. They care about the drivers that care about the company they work for.I've read alot of negative things about Melton.I say everyone has the right to voice how they feel.If you are about making friends while making money then Melton is one of the top companies to work for.If your one of the many drivers that cant pass a truck stop then you might as well look else where for a job. When I had to come off the road they worked hard to make everything work for me.When I do go back over the road I have a job waiting for me with Melton.Just remember, not every day is a good day but if you do your part,Melton will do theirs.

I get multiple recruiting emails from Melton per week. Gotta wonder if they are such a great co, then why are they recruiting so hard?

Well according to another post I was replying to on trying to find a job mentioning that there was something not quite right about Melton that I couldn't put my finger on and thing's sounded to good to be true. This sound's like the problem. The truth shall set you free.

I drove for Melton for only a month.I thought I'd try flatbedding. The miles sucked, the work is hard and I wasn't really liking the company at all, especially that Dave Decker..What a puke..
Great equipment though.Nice and comfy while you're waiting days for a load.. -
Hope NO ONE bases their decision on BILLSGIRLS posting , he jumps from job to job in a heartbeat and its always the COMPANY never poor old BILL .

In my experience, guys will want miles, so they will get the miles. Then they want home, so they get home a lot but not as many miles. It's very difficult to make them happy. In an ideal world you would go 1200 miles out and then 1200 miles right back home and do it again but most of us who can think know that isn't always possible.
However, it's not ALWAYS the driver. We have a guy who I told he could start last Monday. My garage is so busy they can't get around to repairing the truck I promised him. I look like a liar but my hands are tied. Kinda sucks.
