I was a company driver for this company for 3 months. In that time, I had to threaten to quit to get 3 days off at home while other drivers were delivering within 30 miles of my house. I was hired to run south and southeast region, but was kept in the Conneticut and Mass. area. I talked to Paul SR. and he told dispatch (three times that day) to keep me out of that area for awhile, but she got me a load that was a 2 stop to Conn. and Mass. the last stop would have delivered on friday at 5:00 PM. Dispatch told the broker that I needed the load. This company hired me at 25% of the gross, but paid 25% of the net. They also did not pay on all that the load paid the truck. Owner Operators and company drivers alike, were quitting left and right. We were finding out that loads paid more to the truck than what they were telling us. I was one of the lucky ones, I at least had a truck that would run. Some got trucks that either were broke down more than they were running, or had one of the ones that would catch fire. I am just glad to be home and no longer having to put up with that kind of treatment.

It's amazing the number of posters on this forum who post bad things about a company after only having worked there a couple of months. It takes awhile to get in the swing of things, and there is no company that will kiss your behind. You have to learn to take the good with the bad. If after a year or so, there is more bad than good, then, fine, let er rip. At least give it a chance.

Catch fire? Did they tell you to open the windows to reduce the heat so you could sleep in it like that?

I have been with paul miller since feb. Of 2010. I haven't had no major problems, just your average trucking company petty junk. One day is bad, the next it done passed over and I'm happy again. I'm actually leasing a truck from them and I'm making good money while doing it. They treat me good and I think Paul Sr and Paul Jr are great guys. I have no complaints with them. But these guys that go to work at a company and expect the world to be handed to them, but yet don't make appointments on time, or are constantly complaining about the company, don't expect them to treat you the same as someone who does their job and does it good. Mystic shadow, why don't you go talk to swift......
