Well if you live in Lima, Ohio and need a driving job stay away from ''TOPLINE EXPRESS'' Due to the auto industry going down the tubes so is TOPLINE. They are now doing Beer Loads which is dedicated 1 way after that they use Broker Frt. For example: If you live in Troy, Ohio and you are on the Nashville run they will only pay you from Trenton, Ohio to Nashville, Tn=305 miles. At 94cpm plus fsc.
Now once you get to Trenton you have to drop your mty and hook to your load. Then strap the load in, move your tandems, and then go and get a weight. 8 times out of 10 you will have to do this at least twice before you are legal. Now you are at Nashville and it will be at the very least 2hrs up to 8hrs before you get mty. They only use 2 docks and sometimes there is only 1 person unloading you. After that you now must wait until dispatch finds you a back haul.
There are 2 girls that are involved in finding you a back haul all I can say is GOOD LUCK cause they STINK at it. For example I had a driver call me today to tell me he has been waiting 19hrs for a back haul. He called dispatch and they tell him that he is posted on there board and he is the 10th driver waiting on a back haul. Now I will admit that 19hrs is not the norm but a good average is at least 6hrs of waiting.
OH YEA!! They don't pay any drop and hook or bumping the dock or layover pay. Also you do not get any fsc on the back hauls you only get 90cpm. When you try to talk to the person in charge of the drivers like he tells you to do if there is a problem. All he knows what to say is he has nothing to do with dispatch and transfers you to dispatch. So if you are a O/O ''BEWARE'' of TOPLINE EXPRESS out of Lima, Ohio.
