I'm amazed that a bunch of drivers haven't gotten OOIDA involved in a class action suit against this company. Sounds like they rip off every driver that works for them.

I remember u Ladytrucker.....i was there when u and ur husband was.. i know what u mean about these guys at hurricane...They just lie to bait you in and end up screwing you in the process..when my wife descovered how they were screwing me over and i brought it to there attention they did me the same way...i would advise everyone to stay way clear of this company...they are just no good. When my wife had our son they knew I was taking off for a week they stoppped paying me a month prior to me taking off and said they would pay me 1 lump sum to help me?? Needless to say I got a check for less than $400.00 for over a months loads. STAY AWAY!!!

Won't make a difference Wrangler

When this all started with my husband and I we went to OOIDA that is how we found out things we didn't know about Hurricane.. they helped us with the information.. but they have a drawer full of complaints.. and it was explained to us.. that we would end up giving all the money to the attorneys.. as a class action..

It sounds as if most of you want just a free ride, expect the co to pay you for no miles, incorrect paperwork ect.,equipment that you tore up,loads you failed to moniter,p/u or deliver! Go back to your trainer at school an tell them you're being treated bad by the nasty ole co

This has to be a joke, right? I know you can't be serious.

No, it's not a joke. Am I a Hurricane recruiter, no. But I did work for them and unlike most of the people who seem to have a problem with them, things went fine for me. I was paid a good deal of money, more than from most companies, but then again, I actually did the job they hired me for instead of complaining about the job I "should" have had.

And most of us that have more than 2 days of experience know most of you recruiters are lairs anyway!Bait and switch to get them in the door and that's it! You couldn't answer questions accurately to me when I called you 2 weeks apart so why do you think we believe you now? Recruiters are bottom feeders at the best of times and scum sucking bottom feeders at your worst! All you want is a hot body through the door! When I called the second time the recruiter got fed up with "my interview" of the company and hung up! That's a killer in my book!

This is advice to all of you looking for a company....YOU do the questioning of the recruiter! If what you hear doesn't sound right or is conflicting or just "too perfect" then think again about hiring on and if they do not like to be interviewed then RUN! Remember it's YOU who is either flying, busing or driving to them, they aren't coming to your house! AR isn't to far from me and I read this and the other posts on your POS company there j stoneccipher and oh heck yeah after talking to whoever it was in September twice I wouldn't hire you to feed the yard dog! You or whoever it was couldn't answer a few questions or hem and hawed like a teenybopper on his first date! A salesman you weren't!

Now back to the rest of you. There is a thread posted with a really great check list here: [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. Print it up and then if you want, rearrange it to suit you and add or subtract questions from it. Remember why waste YOUR time and the hiring companies time if the answers aren't what you want! I even tell the recruiters that before we start I have a "few" questions to ask to see if they are GOOD ENOUGH for ME to work for! Why "bow down" to the recruiter when you are the one thats going to pay his paycheck!

God gave us a brain to use! USE IT with a recruiter!

OH, your last sentence make good sense: Of course you made good money. You worked in the office ! Would YOU drive for them? In fact PROVE to the REST of us they are worth driving for. Get your CDL and take that "rental" deal! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!! But grow a set and do it!

I'm just glad I got out of the recruiting business before I turned into a bottom feeder.

I like to sleep at night. That is why I drive a train.
