Can anyone say offivce puke! As Alladdin noted 20 months pass before the first post wonder hits and brings the thread back to life! I bet they are about to have a hiring frenzy as they must have had a "few" drivers decide this POS company wasn't worth the time and this is called in the news media

    SPIN!

Try again there bigbelly! You are not the first to try this crapola! Who's paying you and how much to post this garbage???

    ROFLMAO!

I seen one of their advertisements looking for owner operators, they were offering .85 cpm. I bet they have guys beating the doors down for that rate. Not.

I also have been with E.L. Hollingsworth for about 3 years. I have had a little problem with setting for about an hour at my pickup, but i don't think that is that bad. I love the beenies here. That has really helped my family, and i also get home alot with them. There is nothing perfect at any trucking company, but all in all it's not bad here at all. There are always some guys that have a rough time at any company, as far as the one fella maybee it just wasn't a good fit for you. I talk to alot of drivers here that are very happy. I hope you Better luck at finding what you want.

    Later Guys

like other people have said, it took over 20 months for anyone to respond to this thread I posted. I recently talked with some drives working for this company, and they told me it is really hard to make a living only getting paid $.32 a mile and only getting between 1200 and 1800 miles a week. That sounds like a great company to me. Oh by the way, I have found a lot better company to work for. I get $.39 a mile and run about 3000 miles a week and no I don't sit like I did with E.L. Hollinsworth.

I know this thread is old but there has been some new post's in it. I have been with this company for just over a 14 months now as an O/O. Some of the things I've heard here are true and some or just flat out lies. There is no such thing as perfect trucking job if your a driver but what i have right now comes pretty close. I get well over 2500 miles a week and only work 5 days a week. I get home EVERY day and have only had to work a handful of weekends.

    For the OP...mobljoe

you said.....They haul 95% automotive parts and not much else.

I say... Who cares whats in the box?

You said..... I asked them in orientation what they were going to do when all the GM Plants closed from X-mas until the end of Jan. They told us they had plenty of freight, not the case. They leased some of their trucks on with JB Hunt.

I say... Who cares whats in the box? To me it sounds like they could keep you working.

You said.....They told all of us that we would be paid detention time and layover pay while waiting for loads, and never paid us a dime for the time.

I say.... They do pay detention time. You may not like how long you have to be there before they start paying but they do pay.. I know because i have gotten it.

You say.... We would all have to sit for hours and even days to get a load and were never paid anything for this.

I say... Boo Hoo... It happens at all trucking companies. At some more them others.

You said... They don't even pay back any toll reimburments unless you conplain about it.

I say.... ########...... Put you toll ticket in the Expenses envelope "they give you" and send it in with your bills....

You said.... But you explain to me how a company expects a driver to sit in a broke down truck that can not even idle in January and not at least pay for a Motel room. Had to pay out of my pocket for one.

I say... Once again I call ########.... I'm an O/O with them and they put me up in a motel when my truck was busted and had to drive a company daycab for a week. I got caught in a snow storm and couldn't make it home that night.

You said.... The dispatchers at this company do not let the next shift know if someone is having problems, and or sitting broke down. They just work their 8 hours and go home.

I say... Some of that might be true... I can't disagree with you there. All i can add to this i love my dispatcher "Adam" He does right by me.

You say... I have found a lot better company to work for. I get $.39 a mile and run about 3000 miles a week and no I don't sit like I did with E.L. Hollinsworth.

I say... Sweet. I'm glad to hear that. If you drive 120,000 miles a year thats an extra $8,400 a year before tax.

    For kjpm67....
You asked....Not meaning to be rude but, why would anyone come to Michigan to work for a company hauling auto parts!??? Flint being one of the hardest automotive towns hit with job losses.

I say... Like you i live in this state and love it. I would rather work for a local company but thats just me..

One thing i have learned about this company.... If you treat the person on the other end of the phone like #### then you will get the same treatment. I never have a problem with them.... I call then 10 to 20 times a day and NEVER have a problem. I would like to thank all my dispatchers for putting up with me. Adam, Nick, Jason, Cindy, Tony, Tim, Caitlyn "That i talk to every morning it seems like" Carl and Doug. I know theres more but they don't work my shift. I know i can be a handful at times but i just wanta do the best job i can....
