central ref. problems

hey buster, your story sounds VERY FAMILIAR. Thats the same reason i m not going back to work there at central. and TIP, yes you heard right, central purchased swift, or its just another smoke blowing story they are telling there employee's. Also for curious minds The Issaicsons own central ref. The story about the purchase told to all employees at there oreintation is that Issaicson was the head man at swift for many years. When Issaicson brought to the attention of the Board of Dir. to start shipping ref. freight the board tossed Issaicson out. Issaicson recently bought swift as avendetta toward the board of dir. so he in turn could toss all of them out on there #####. Now, as an ex-employee i was a few days away from becoming a lease op. i talked to many of lease ops and they all had the same complaint DISPATCHERS (there not driver mngrs. mngrs know what there doing) however lease ops can refuse loads company drivers CANNOT. And that said there are a lot of lease ops giving up there leases because of problems and quiting, most lease ops stay and pay to the end then quite. atleast at this time they own the truck and can move on anywhere. like i said before get your CDL an training then run as fast as you can to GTI or KLLM.

Jerry owns Central, Jerry got Swift back, and now Jerry/Swift is buying Snieder. Central's flatbed fleet is looking for another 10 drivers for Jerry's Casino steel run from SLC to Vegas, rookies need not apply.

Something wierd has happened at Central, they have gone downhill fast in the last month, and whatever you do, don't, for the love of all that is holy, get based out of the Fontana yard. They have people working for them there, that are in charge, that you wouldn't have watch your dog for an hour. KC, the head person at Fontana is completely worthless and has no clue what is going on at his complex, Victor is a rude slob of a man, and Manny, the guy running the shop, while he seems nice, is completely clueless and has filled the bays with drop outs from special ed class that wouldn't know how to fix a truck if they had a paint-by-numbers books.

And don't get me started on my FM.

Treat it as a burning theatre

Okay, I see what's up. JerryCo is being resurrected.

Treat that company as a burning theater. If you're about to go in and a bunch of folks are running out in panic, maybe you should hold off on going in. That's my advice, but hey....that's just me.

If they're losing insiders in droves, I definitely would stay the hell away from them. Those guys know info we schmucks don't have privvy to. But who needs to know that info when the insiders are running for the exits? THAT info is all I need.

Count me out on going to work for Central.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

Oh ######, why would they have to go downhill that fast right before I am gonna start with them???

I only planned to stay with them a year or so anyway and then move on to KLLM,GTI,Marten or Crete, but are they entering the same league as Werner, CRE and SWIFT???

I passed on those jobs and decided to get on with CRS but the last month they have gone downhill that much, it figures, must have known I was coming on board...LOL...

And that steel run sounds perfect for me as I live in Vegas, but since rookies need not apply, I guess I am just SOL...

i agree fontana is poorly run.

I am out of conley, I am a company driver, and have not seen a slow down in miles or service from my FM.

Manny, well, I think he resents having to speak english, as he is always a jerk to me. My truck was there for 4 days when I spend thanksgiving in San Diego, I get back with a note saying it needed to go to volvo...it sat there for 4 days instead of someone taking it to Volvo.

I will be leaving the company shortly, as I want and need to be home more.

Heh, TEC Volvo in Fontana took a week to replace a injector on my truck. Manny told me my truck was ready a couple of times just to have me go down there and sit and wait.

I'm waiting at home right now until they replace my pay that they took out of my paycheck for a mess up on their part (only $200) but they timed it wrong, I'm finally at home, and I'm not gonna leave until I'm paid. I'm sorry, I ran those miles and now you tell me it wasn't correct to send me those deadhead miles, yet they had me deadhead 330 miles to run a 16 mile load of beer that had been in the yard for a couple of days?

Who am I kidding that's .

So how many days does it take them to get you home after hometime is due?

They were bad for a while getting me home, now my FM and I have an understanding.... If I need to be home for something, I get home ontime... If I am not needing to be home for anything special, I let him get me there late and pay me...

hi that is not true about logging at 50mph my husband and i have worked for them going on 5 years also dureing orentition they do pay for your food they give you what they call a mill ticket for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you also get paid 100.00 for doing orentition, then while you are out with a trainer you also get paid 450.00 a week for that , when i went you only got paid 325.00 so they have come up in the world they have there ups and downs just like any company, but they are not a bad co. to work for or we still wouldnt be with them we are owner ops.
