Central Refigerated Service, Inc. - West Valley, Ut.

For those of you who have wanted to ,or are about to work for Central ,a few things to know .First there Orientation is about 2 and 1/2 days in which time You do the standard stuff, Road Test, and so on Co. Benifits Rules and Regs There Equip is outstanding There Terminals are not the best but it saves you a Motel Bill but They dont pay for Your Food .They go through what They expect of a Driver and logs, They only like to log 50 MPH and They give you trip sheets made out as such. I shouldn,t have to tell yea .If You have a Dispatcher that's on top of this it's not problem ,but that is one of the problems, not all are aware of this even though it is on One of There Films ,.I guess they just show the Films they don't watch Them, so they know whats being watched by the drivers .Now They will tell you not to deal with Weekend Dispatch and thats great!! advice ,but it's not allways possable to avoid it.Get pre-dipatched if at all possable, if you don't, You'll regret it. I did and that was the main reason I quite them, Two or Three Dispatcher on the same load is a Disaster to say the least it was the same reason I left them in 97 when They where Dik Simon. Now They seem to have no Beef with letting You go Home to put things in your Truck, but if you quite You better have Someone waiting at the Terminal They will not allow you to go Home to remove Your things. I had my Son with Me and they would not allow me to take Him Home. Like all Co. some good some bad the Miles are there, they will run You sometimes on unreal Schedules conceedering They want You to log 50 MPH, If Your late you can bet it's Your fault, they Never scewed up.as for my pay.I never had a complant, but a word of advice There lock kit if you get it is an outstanding value best I have seen if you quite KEEP IT!!Your going to get charged for it anyway. So there You go just so You know .

I went to school there, They put you through school in 2weeks you drive on the a total of 3 times then go with a trainer. They want the trainer to spend 30 min going over stuff then go into the sleeper. How unsafe is that. They charge u for load locks, king pin locks etc. I had a family problem and told the dispatcher I needed a week off she agreed told take the time I needed when I called back she said she terminated me and cut her looses. I then spoke with Ron Johnson wwho sent me to Georgea I waited 1 week a t there terminal the went out to with a trainer they refused to pay me for the wait time. so I quite. This company is good for owner ops they have a good lease program and they will give you tons of miles. They wont give u home time unless you beg for it. There trucks are top of the line very good condition. However you are just a driver they could give a s*** about you or family. they only want you to drive the s*** out of your self. If its miles you want you will get them lots. As long as your log books look good they could care less about that.
