first let me say that i have worked for titan twice. the first timethey were small and easy to get along with, good miles, good pay check, good ins and time off. then i met a lady outside the terminal area and decided to get married. so i turned in my notice, i should have wondered the moment they had me detour back to the terminal in shelbyville tn. i had picked up a load in canton ms and was delivering it for a monday morning. now this was going right past where i was now living. so i had to drive from shelbyville all the way to memphis. monday day morning came drove all the way back to shelbyville just to be told to clean out your truck you're no longer needed. three years later i go back to titan, man what a turn around, lousy ins, runs, unorganized, just a total disappointment. they seem to fire people for just anything, i guess since it's so slow they can afford to. here's some examples peolpe have gotten fired for, speeding(trucks do 65), kingpin didn't latch dropped trailer, if you get shutdown at scales you're fired(qualcom memo). to make a long story short this is not the company it used to be and that's sad. and yes i turned in my notice to quit and they once again did not honor it, but their policy you sign is if you quit without a notice you get hit $250 out of your last check. and oh yeah, a friend of mine is waiting at this moment to see if he still has a job because he ran out of route, although this was routed by the dispatcher. i am not a discruntled ex-employee just someone that wants anyone considering them to be aware. thanks
beware of titan transfer

They grew too fast when freight was good so now they've got too many trucks and too little freight. They're going downhill fast.

Well I just want to say I am going back to Titan for a third time, the first time was only a month, then I got a call from an owner operator that I was with before that wanted me back, so i gave a notice and went back. All titan asked me to do was turn in my truck at either shelbyville, or knoxville. Then I went back to work with them this time for almost two years, and again I gave notice and left to take a local job back home in North carolina, again all they asked of me was to turn in my truck at either location, both times I was allowed to work my notice. This will be my third time with this company and I have nothing bad to say at all, they have always treated fairly, and equally, When I called a few days ago to ask if they would rehire me after being there twice I was told yes, and so I have went through the process that everyone else goes through and I am proud to say that on Monday I will become a Titan driver a third time, All I can say is thank you Titan for letting me work when I needed a job.

Hey, any updates on Titan???

South East Carriers in Lawrenceburg, TN probably better. No Northeast.
Do Titan trucks still run 70 mph.?Last edited: Oct 21, 2015

They cut down to 65 mph back in 2008.

My truck is limited to 65, titans pass me no problem. So they do at least 70 still.

Maybe they turned them up again. I had a buddy who drove there for over 10 years I remember when they cut their trucks down from 72 to 68 and then 65. Of course there's always some rogues at any company.
