Boyd brothers transportation irs issues

In 2003 I went to orientation with Boyd Brothers. I left the 3rd day due to what I witnessed while there. A truck came pulling in real fast, driver jumped out and 4 squad cars in hot pursuit. It seems this drivers dispatch & this company did not inform the driver for over a week that his mother was ill and dying. Well he missed his opportunity to be with her, his family upset of course after numerous calls to company and no knowledge of where he was or if he knew had the funeral without his attendance. I decided then I would not work for a company such as this. The good news is I left orientation before even driving a road test in their truck. However last year a collection agency started calling me about owing Boyd Brothers $2500. for a truck I abandoned in Tennessee. This year the IRS informed me I did not report income in the amount of $20,347.00 with Boyd Brothers. Now the IRS wants me to pay them $9,999. in tax money of which I never recieved. When explaing to the IRS I never worked for them, they told me to file with FTC a statement of Identity Fraud with a police report number. So I went to the local police who then advised I needed to call police in Clayton AL. I got this real jerk of an officer who asked me what color I was, stated he knew people at Boyd Brothers, stated clearly if I filed this report he would have me arrested for fraudulent police reporting. Guess its a crime to be Native American in Clayton AL. At this point I emailed the Attorney General office of AL, The Director of law inforcement, sent a fraud report to the Fraud division of the IRS and contacting the FBI on this not so good police man. I did recieve an email back from the attorney general stating clearly to file with the FBI. Wow I never even drove their truck, did not have them pay for my trip from New Orleans and back, did not recieve any type of pay for the 3 days of orientation. What a scam this company is. I believe with time and patience I will resolve their issue for them.

Yeah I'm calling Bravo Sierra also, who would go a week without calling and checking on his family? And if it did happen he obviously wasn't very concerned if he never checked in, Cell phones were readily available in 03.

So this happened in 2003. You only gave part of the story. You have had 5-6 years to do something or recieve something about this and yet you didn't tell the people what was done to resolve this. Have you recieved any kind of a resolution for this?

I've heard the first part of that story before, but the company was Swift or CRE I believe. It was better the first time I heard it and had a much more interesting ending. Something about the driver telling his dispatcher he was going to kill him then getting arrested. Try using that ending next time, it makes for more suspense than some tax ####.

Bad Bad Boyd
In 1997 I was in orientation with this company. While outside having a smoke with others a driver for them came racing up in truck, ran inside, then police arrived. This man was never informed that is mother passed away 1 week prior by dispatch, which did not think it was important. His family had called, he was never told. The driver was arrested for threatning to kill dispatcher. The police were the one's that told us about the incedent. I quit orientation. Ten years later a collection agency is contacting me telling me I owe Boyd $2700.00. They claim I drove one of their leased trucks for one week to Tennessee. I never even got to the point of driver test drive. I did not sign any lease agreements, and paid my own expenses of getting to and from orientation. The collection agency stated I will pay this sum, they don't care whether I want to or not, does not want to do anything about this false claim from Boyd. Good luck. I would not and will not work for a company that does not think you have the right to be notified when a close relative is dying.
Interesting , isn't it ? I think somebody needs a pee test .
