iv been driving for werner for about a year now. in the last 3 weeks they have made 4 pay cuts to the drivers. they say its becouse they have to cut the buget there is no extra money. yet they are billding new terminals and werner gave the 4 top excets 1,000,000,000 to split for a chrismas bonus. and they just bout 3 or 4 motels. and werner just bout a harly dillership for his son..... new comers if you go with werner they will tell you 40,000 the first year. (not) you will make .20 cents a mile and .15 cents a mile for running empty. after 6 months you get a penny raise. and then every year you get a nuther penny raise. they will tell you you will get 3000 miles a week. (not) maby 2000, you dont get anything for brake downs if you are under a load and brake down you get nuthing while you are sitting waiting for your truck. im making 23 cents a mile if i would have went even with swift id be making 32 cents a mile right now. i am only here tell i finish training this student. then im going to quit. i you just want to get some expireance here you will get that. they will turn you loos in your ohn truck even if you dont think you are ready for it. if you want to make a living go with some one els.

I'm sorry to say it, but, that has got to be one of the worst posts as far as grammer goes!

Well he won't be teaching grammar anytime soon, but his math seems about right.

Think you might a a few too many zeros on that bonus, don't you think? They are rebuilding some terminals, you have to have a place to have your truck repaired etc, dont you? The motels are for employees are they not? And as far as the motorcycle dealership, are you talking about the one across from the corp. office in Omaha? If you are, that's not a Harley dealership and they have had it for years. It's a Big Dog dealership. Please feel fortunate that you even have a job, be glad that you weren't among the many non driving employees at Werner who lost their jobs in the last few weeks. Your comment about the miles, who in this industry is getting many miles these days? Some companies pay breakdown time, but they are few and far between.
I commend you for staying with the student you are with and wish you luck in finding greener pastures in your future.
