Last I heard the idle time was 40%. It might be different if you got an apu. Lucky me,my Qualcomm is ancient. It doesn't keep track of my idle time.If I run the truck for more than 10 hrs I get one of those,Please cycle truck off to conserve fuel messages.
They been on you about idle time?

If you have an APU and can't average 30% then u should think about another career
That's sad ....
U should have 10-15% or less with a apu

My last carrier made sure and separated the idle time while driving (stop lights, traffic, etc) from PTO idle time for heat/cool while sleeping. That way idle time truly reflected what the driver was doing. Seems like most carriers just lump all the idle time into the pot and then bellyache at the driver.
