A Christian company? Yeah right. I worked for a holy roller company once. Would Jesus short me mileage? Would Jesus lie to me about when I would get home to see my family? Would Jesus leave me without a load for a 3 day weekend, and refuse to pay for a hotel? Tell you what, unless the company is actually OWNED by our Lord and Savior, I would skip the christian based companies. They are blasphemous organizations trading on Jesus's good name. They have a special place in hell for the Covenant Trucking owners, and the Robert Tiltons, and Benny Hinns of the world. Right next to the furnace!

I was in Central America with a group of Anthropologists when the Covenant corp jet landed at the airfield field. One of the local members of the group told me ***DELETED BY TURBOTRUCKER***

Professor, as much as I do not consider Covenant to be a decent company, I feel as if the hearsay portion of your post layed out some SERIOUS charges that have not been confirmed in any manner, nor can they be. I don't wish to alienate you in any way, but you have to be VERY careful when you make accusations of that nature, and because this site is accessible to the public-at-large, some things just cannot be allowed to be posted in a reckless manner, especially when they are not verifiable. I apologize for editing your post, but those kind of accusations place you and this site in an extremely dangerous position, and they can call into question the purpose and credibility of this site. Please feel free to post and participate in the forums, but I am asking you kindly to refrain from offering opinion of that nature in the future.

Because while I also work for a great company, I value my reputation on here too much to step over the line in the territory of the recruiter. And in many cases, the guys on here with problems haven't hit the experience level to be hired by us, or they don't live in one of our operating areas. When I find someone that looks like they might fit in with us, then I send himn a pm and some information.

My expierience with Covenant Transport comes from delivering a few trucks to them at the Chatanooga terminal. It was not a good expierience either. We were treated like s**t and was not offered any assistance as with some of the trucks we bring in we have to put in the axels. Well we do not carry anything to catch the grease in when we removed the axel plate's. All we asked for was an old gallon plastic jug. You would have thought we asked them to put in the axels. Anyway make a long story short we simply found something that would work and did our jobs and was done with it. While we were there undecking we did witness a trainee who was being shown how to back up. I believe the trainee probably would have done alot better if the trainer would have shouted less at him. He was yelling and screaming at this kid who was in the driver's seat and the trainer was on the running board of the truck while he was trying to back in.

The point I was trying to highlight was that I have seen it several times where a drive says they work for a grat company but never mention the name of the good ones. |

Try to see it this way; When he speaks of his reputation, and wanting to keep it intact, I imagine that he would like to basically screen people himself, before he recommends his company to them. By proclaiming it publicly, who knows who will stumble upon the name of the company, and call, referencing Burky? It's also possible that the company itself has requested to not be mentioned in a forum setting. They may not be hiring. Unwanted phone calls to an 800 number get expensive, if you are not actively seeking drivers. Now, my company, whom I will shout to the rooftops, is the absolute best company that I have ever been associated with, and I don't have any problem in mentioning their name, because they gave me permission to do so, and are aware of the site, and what I write about them. I've got more to write about them, and will do so as soon as I get through all that has been posted this week, and will do so in the appropriate sections. But...to not keep you wondering what company I work for, it's [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

Actually, I am still mulling this one over. I've seen how people on forum sites treat people who actively recruit, so that is one of the considerations. Secondly, I have a specific reputation on here and on other sites that I frequent, and I guard that pretty carefully. While someone on here may not agree with what I say, at least no one can say that I don't give as solid of an advice as I can. To my knowledge, the company has no issues with being mentioned on any forum, and is hiring. I have in the past contacted people by pm's if it looked like their situation might benefit both us and them. This is my own personal issue of appearance and propriety that is holding me back, and I have been thinking about this thread and will make a decision in the next few days. If I do decide to post, it will be over in "Good Companies" section. I know it's kind of silly in some ways to worry about what total strangers think of your electronic postings, but my moral values have been formed in certain ways, and that carries over into cyberspace as well.
