Stay away from Mcleod Express

I worked for Mcleod for 6 months and I had to fight for nearly every dime I got paid. The guarantee pay is a joke, even my dispatcher said so. I only got the guarantee about half the time it was owed to me. You are only going to make about as much as the guarantee if they pay it unless you want to work 6 days a week. I averaged about 1300 miles per week and instead of the guarantee I was only getting paid for the 1300 miles. I followed all the rules that they have for getting the guarantee and they still wouldn't give it to me. They also like to set you up fro failure so you wont get the guarantee. My X-mas was ruined by this and I had to borrow a lot of money from my relatives to pay bills. If you want to gross about $500 per week and get treated like a pile of poop then work for Mcleod otherwise stay very very far away. They will screw you over every chance they get. I have been gone for two weeks and I am still trying to get paid for work I performed. On top of not having any freight they keep hiring drivers and liing to them during recruiting and oriention. DO NOT WORK FOR MCLEOD EXPRESS

couldnt agree with this guy more. i was there until christmas, they screwed me as well over christmas but i got my ### home and never looked back. they are too big a company for the amount of management they have, they started off small and were ok from what i hear, but got too big too fast and can't keep track of everyone.
