| bad bad barr-nunn Black balled by Barr nunn.20yrd driver these people stink to high heaven! Jan 03 01 hired by and worked for jevic til the end may 23 08,leap frogged into enterprise transportation strt date may 30 08...6 days unemployed! aftr 90days ytd earnings was on pace to earn 24,000 less than in 2007.1wknotice and i packed up effective sept12,08. On sept 16,08 strt orientation with Van Wyk,yes sheldon ia.I tried my butt off to make that work but depression was getting the best of my good frame of mind 60% of my miles were believe me 20cpm or a little less.Walked on apr 7 09 another 1000 miles # 20cp...with a take or quit when i told them i couldnt do it. OK read the above twice and take it all in+keep it in mind. Job search leads me to Barr-Nunn,everything looks good right? OK my as_- enine honest nature has gotten me before and got me again i should've just said no when asked about any surgeries in last 5 yrs.Answer yes, shoulder surgery, she asks me if i have a doctors release im thinking i can call Dr.office ask them to fax it it over but this was over 3yrs ago a non issue if i've been steadily empoyed since right.Hadn't heard from them in about 36 hrs til when i called em,application denied reason too much time off in last 2yrs i said what theres been no time off whats goin on he says something about how long i was off with a surgery i says that was over 3yrs ago i 've been steadily employed since...and he said sorry good luck and hung up. Then it hit me with the force of a bag bricks that was a workers comp injury,I have passed a return to work physical reqiured by jevic and two pre-employs,over 3 yrs oh i told em i ought to call a freeking lawyer and sue til they're blue. And next called a lawyer. He says nope if it were a race issue or gender issue but im s.o.l. a white male.Barr-Nunn kiss mine where the sun won't shine, that would be the backside of the maninthemoon they're so low they could never reach that high. |

| I'd say it was a combination of too many jobs plus the shoulder injury. These days, companies can and will be very picky as to who they choose to abuse (er, I mean hire). |

| Well sheeooot. I was in a car accident back in August and needed 2 surgeries to put my arm back together. In that time I was laid off and am now looking for another job instead of riding out unemployment. Looks like Barr-Nunn is off the list. I don't want to be black balled too!! |

| I guess that by 20yrd he means 20 years. I would think a 20 year man would know that you start at the bottom when you change jobs. There is no love lost between me and Barr-Nunn, but lets be fair here. |

| If bad information was but on you DAC, that is one thing, but not hiring you for what ever reason is not black balling.. Lets face it these are hard economical times, and jobs a getting harder and harder to find. If you have a job, and are not happy don't leave just yet, stick around and make the best of it.. Right now companies can fire you for what ever reason the want, sometimes for things that they would not have done 2yrs ago.. For instance my job if you have a camera violation (we have cameras on the truck) you would get a verbal warning, then a written, then 3 days off then fired. Now each violation is considered separate. Now there they are considered one in the same, and you can be fired a lot more quicker then they use to do.

| Leannamarie when you have 20 yrs of doing it the way it should be done, with respect to,not only your peers but to past, present and future employers. In addition to that you keep your mvr personal and professionally squeaky clean or very very close to it. You legitimately injure yourself busting your buns for employer and it takes surgery and rehab to get yourself back to working order,in which i am 100% released w/o limitations 3 yrs ago, with steady employment until a good job went belly up.Note:no advance warning which, regardless of your opinion is against the warn laws in our nation. I also am a former U.S.Marine honorably discharged yes i served to protect their right to blackball me,and protect your right to support their decision. All in All! I think what they did is rotten,i also served to protect my right to form the opinion that they blackballed me,because i once had to file a workers comp. Now i hpoe for your sake whats goin on here with me doesn't happen to you cause its wrong regardless if its you or myself enduring it,in these trying times we the people need a break not a backstabbing.Respectfully, maninthemoon |

| If Jevic put something negative on your DAC, then yes, I could see your issue with Jevic blackballing you over your worker's comp injury. But your beef is with Barr-Nunn, and I don't see how they have damaged you? They didn't hire you, but they have not done anything to prevent you from being hired by anyone else. With a clean MVR and an honorable discharge from the Marines, I would think that you would be able to find better employment anyway.

| biscuit75,say nothing let them find it themselves but don't cut your own throat.I mean it i said in my 1st thread my honesty has gotten me in the past.IT HAS,though a whole different scenario so i wont detail it.In these trying times and this is it to all that suffer the loss of a job at the expense of the economy. You do not answer any question honestly that is in any way shape or form going to self inflict harm to your chance of getting hired.I ever you have the right to knowingly lie through your teeth, this would be it.And those that disagree may very well contribute to our nations jobless percentage as it continue to increase.Don't say the economy isn't gonna get you spend your time preparing for if it does. Respectfully maninthemoon and good luck. |
