We DO NOT need our hands or anything else held for that matter! Life as or with a truck driver is full of sacrifices as real drivers know; however the "compensation" for the sacrifices are usually monetary! I'm not on here to whine or anger anyone. Knowledge is power! I am VERY TIRED of truck drivers being treated shoddy by society and by the companies they keep in business! Without you men and women out there driving I would have NO luxuries! Why can't others see and appreciate that? Trcking companies can put things on your DAC report but who or where do they answer to? Word of mouth is the best weapon in any industry. So, before you out there say "i need my hand held" think about it. You have not always been treated perfect or may not be by some company. Truck drivers are not stupid low life persons. Many have high levels of education! Many could but choose not to do other jobs outside of the trucking industry or within better than those persons that currently hold them! Just think about these things. We are only trying to pay our bills and survive, but most companies do not care. It is a "dog eat dog world" so be the BIGGER DOG if you want to survive! Be safe.

You need to butt out and allow others to simply explain that Knight doesn't pay what they claim, does not pay for all miles driven, and actively employs kiddos that believe that dishonesty is how to get freight moved. Your a known fool around here, just give it up already.
    [/QUOTE]

I'm the fool? OK but your the one that went to work for Knight and let them roll you.:biggrin_25525: I have worked for company's worse then Knight and didn't ever get rolled half as bad as you claim they rolled you even minus all the embellishments. :biggrin_255:

Okay Bigblue, your a self admitted fool. That's great but embellishments? Oh please, using direct quotes, show me what you feel I have exaggerated. Knights the bottom of the barrel. Obviously people need to see for themselves as is shown on the hundreds of pages of less than stellar opinions of this garbage can junk hauler.

marten transport requires that you be on per diem, and they charge you a couple cents a mile for it. per diem is good for the company, not the driver.:biggrin_25513:

Not completely the bottom feeder company. Ever work for Werner? I have. The absolute bottom. Work there long enough and you will turn into a baby chicken. A cute yellow one that can only say: "cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap"....etc

As far as Knight goes, these guys are far from cheap. Just look at their major accounts. It's the drivers that are the work force AND the bottom of the totem pole as far as pay goes. How does this crap happens?

Heard that Knight just got hit with another class action lawsuit.

This time from the office worker side. Seems a couple states agree that just because you work for a OTR company doesn't mean that all employees fall under the Fed law.

So that means that they will have to pay OT back for a lot of the office workers. Ouch.

It happens when a person is new enough in the industry that he/she doesn't know what they are getting in for.

It happens when a person gets desperate enough to take anything he can find in the way of a job.

You do not want to drive a Knight truck in OR, unless you like going around back at most scales.
