2 nd interview ameripride

My 2nd interview at Ameripride in Twin Falls,Id. was something else.I live 43 miles from my home to the Ameripride place. My interview lasted less then 5 min.,Was told That they had 2 other guys they were gonna pick one from because they thought that one of them "That they were thinking that one of them could hang the uniforms the way the company wanted maybe better then me" That was it So I drove 86 miles for something he should have told me on the phone when he called to come for 2nd interview. What a waste of my gas and time.

Why is this guy posting on a trucking website? He picks up and delivers laundry in a step van.

whyposting here?

Been driving Big Trucks for 15 years From 2 axle tractor with doubles to refer to dry vans to flat beds and concrete mixers. The job at Ameripride was for a day cab with a 53 foot,It was going to be loading the uniforms onto a long steel bar so they would be hanging like at your home ,And driving to a warehouse 80 miles away so the step van guys could have there uniforms to del. in that area. Thats way Im on this site.

IMO: you DONT have to drive an 18 wheeler to be a trucker or to post on this board....I am a truckers wife and I post here, as do others. ANYONE with information/questions etc is welcome.

Any time you can post up some info about any company that has drivers and treats them like dogsqueeze, it's a good thing for all of us. We now know that Ameripride may do to the next applicant what it did to slugtrucker. Knowledge is power...

That sucks, but don't know it you could call them a bad company for it. I have driven alot further to get the same response. Chances are the guy that got hired probly knew someone at the company. That's how it works where I live, you have to know someone to get hired at the local companies.

Don't be so quick to trash a company. I have worked for AmeriPride in Sacramento for a year and a half. I don't really have anything bad to say about them. They treat us pretty well, not the greatest pay, but awesome benefits. There are 5 of us that drive big trucks out of Sacramento and I think we're all pretty happy. Again nothing to brag about just a decent year round job that gets us home every night (except me and one other guy that run to Reno in the winter).

That interview reminds me of an interview i did for Trail max trailers in caldwell idaho, Gem Manufacturing, they sell and deliver equipment trailers, from flat beds to pull behind pickups to semi trailers, i went for the interview and the guy told me they werent sure they were even goin to fill the position, but were interviewing for it, they didnt hire anyone then, but now are taking applications again. I drove 60 miles round trip for nothing, if they did call me tomorrow they would get a big fat no from me this time.
