| Another thing about JB Hunt that is making them bad to work for. I recently went back to work for JB Hunt, I know I know they arent a great company, but they are the only company to call me in 3 months to offer me a job. The miles are ok so far, as good as can be expected, but it is nearly impossible to find an empty trailer when you need one. When you go to a yard the trailers either have a load, are rail, or dcs and if you just can't take those unless that is your division, the others that are empty are either getting repaired or being sold. Friday I was in Memphis and it took me 3 hours to find an empty with them sending me 5 different places. Saturday it took me 6 and a half hours to find an empty in Atlanta. I went to so many different places, they sent me to one place, exel twice saying they had 3 confirmed emptys when there was only 1 jb trailer there and it was full of pallets. I ended up being 4 hours late to my pickup due to this, lets just say the shipper wasnt happy with me even though it wasnt my fault. Bad thing is there was ATLEAST 100 trailers in the lot next to the terminal that they have put up for sale. WHY would they be selling so may trailers when you have half of the company searching for an empty. This shows me they are either downsizing, going under, or have been sued to the ground because when I was with them in 2007 they never looked at the trailers unless you asked them to. If anybody knows what may be going on with them any info is appreciated. Even the fleet managers aren't happy with this because they have to try and locate an empty for you and get you to that trailer before the other 50 drivers looking for an empty get there. Needless to say if another company calls me I may be on the way from them again. Sorry that I rambled for so long just had to get that off of my chest I was exhausted before my days even started because of this and it was hard to deliver my loads. |

| Try to pick up the May 15-31 issue of "The Trucker " . In the Business section it gives carrier first quarter reports . J.B. Hunt is "right-sizing" its tractor fleet and reduced its fleet by 23% -948 less tractors in the fleet now than they had the end of the last quarter last year . It seems like with less freight and tractors empty trailers wouldn't be a problem . They are in no danger of going broke though . They are doing well with dedicated accounts .
