My husband and I left a good company of eight years due to low miles, Jct looked good on paper, saying all the right stuff like hey come to us we pay 95 ¢ for teams and we have team run only lanes, well I should have seen the red flags when my recruiter told me to abandon my trk and come to their orientation, and while in orientation we were told that we would run illigal out of Florida because they have a customer that will not cut the loads, and mind you this is the safety guy telling you this, they will route you around the weigh stations and if you get an over weight ticket don't worry it won't go on your record and they would pay the ticket, huh? We should of walked then but we thought, hey we will give these guys a chance , they can't be that bad, well sad to say yes there is more, we were told we would have new road ready trucks to pick from, another lie when we went out to the bull pen to pick our truck out there were13 trucks topick from and there were 21 people in our class, so that was a joke, our truck was a prostar which for a team was too small but it was the only truck out there with low miles and no side note , now about their pay, it might say that you make this amount but, where do I start lol , you are charged for everything , 12$ each trip you scan, .75 cents each time you use your fuel card to fuel, you pay for your base pates , the list goes on and on , oh ya and they tell you this in orientation , I can go on and on about this company and not have one good thing to say, we have been gone for three weeks and we keep getting Payrole emails saying how we owe money for a truck payment and for work done on a truck we haven't been in for three weeks, I called today and tried to talk with someone in the shop but nobody will return my calls, the sad thing is all their drivers that we met were all really nice but ask them about Jct s shop and they all said they were criminal and not to take your truck there because they will find away to empty your maintence account. They are in my opinion company that makes money RENTING trucks not by hauling freight So if you are thinking about going to these people think twice , I wouldn't wish my time with them on anyone.

I have to correct you on some things on your post. those overweight loads out of Florida is a once in a while issues, if you didn't want to run it, you could always turn it down. As far as being charged for trippak, why were you scanning it? It's free if you just drop in box. You paid for base plates? That's a lie. as far as efs fee, is this the first trucking company you worked for? Any company using fuel cards pass on the tranaction fees. Sorry it didn't work out for you

First of all...if I had a safety mgr telling me that I would have to run illegal...I would've got up right then and there and would've given them some choice words and ran out of there!!

That should've been red flag alert the second that creep said that!!

Too bad they didn't have a safety manager telling them to run illegal. Also, how do you know that he's a creep? Have you met him before? Did he stalk you??

What they had was an orientation facilitator telling them that, if they wanted to run an overweight load and got permission to do so, JCT would pay for the ticket. And they're right...an overweight ticket doesn't count against your CSA score.

Also, if their recruiter told them to abandon their truck (which I highly doubt even happened. More like words to add to the drama,) that recruiter needs to be fired. My recruiter told me the exact opposite. She said "Make sure that you leave your current company on as good of terms as you can, and whatever you do, don't abandon the truck."

i remember the loads out of florida speech while i was at their orientation, they said they will not cut the loads back and they will pay the over weight tickets if you get caught...

they also said you do not have to haul them..

base plates were paid by the company.. all in all it was the price of the trucks that turned me away

Appearently you don't know the reputation that jct has do you??...

You run illegal for them or they cut your miles and then "shove" you out the door.
